  1. I was banded 12/28/09 and have lost 34lbs so far. I have my first fill March 3rd and I am getting anxious. I was nervous at first as well but it has been the best decision I have ever made. I am starting to feel normal again. I still have a ways to go but an loving this band. There are things you have to do to re-adjust your eating habits but something needed to be changed because what I was doing wasn't working. The changes are things I can live with so it isn't that bad. You will do fine and get through it wonderfully. You will lose I am certain. I am excited to see how the weight will come off after my first fill. :hurray: Good Luck to you!
  2. I had my surgery dec 28th and am on the liquid diet still. I hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be but I do get hungry. I get full after about a cup or so of liquid which a big change for me. I will be anxious to see how I feel after my first fell in Feb. Don't get frustrated, the pounds will come off in time. It didn't come on overnight and they same for losing it. :tt1: I have lost a total of 13 lbs since my surgery and 22 lbs since start of the pre-op diet. I am very excited to know that I will not be this chunky girl forever. Very happy with the results so far.
  3. I am scheduled for the 28th. I am right behind you. I hope all goes well and keep us all posted on your success and post op news. I will need some advice in a few days after mine.
  4. I am going tomorrow for my pre-op visit and set for Dec 28th for surgery. I am ok with the protien shakes and getting better with the minimal meal once a day. It is definatley a change. I am getting excited though to become a new me.
  5. Hello all! I am very excited to join this talk group and to get to know more people like me. I am going for my pre-op visit tomorrow and have a surgery date of Dec 28th to be banded. I am nervous and excited. I would like to familiarize myself with the post surgery outcomes and what to expect. I am excited to start my "new life" as a band patient and pray for great success.
