    lapbanders called cheats

    I cannot beleive that people think this is cheating. Are they stupid as or what??? I had the surgery as i have a hormone imbalance and ate less than most people. I ended up with Insulin Resistance so no matter what i did, my cells would not accept the insulin my body made. Because of this my Insulin levels where so high that this made me lethargic and i felt so tired and sick all the time. Even with medication they weight still did not come off and i resorted to having this surgery done. I have now lost nearly 15 kilos, slowly, but lost it and i no longer have this horrible disease. I no longer have high blood pressure due to my diabetes. No one can tell me that i have cheated or taken the easy way out. Ihave worked bloody hard to move my weight and at times it didnt come off. I ate better and excercised more and beat 2 chronic diseases. People who sayt things like this are just plain stupid and narrowminded. I am PROUD to be a Bandster and deserve this title as so do all of you on here trying to work out their weight. People only want you to feel bad about yourself to make themselves feel better about their insecurities. Stuff em all and be proud. I don't care and i tell people. I know i will be healthier and live longer. Good luck all and stay strong, don't care about the small minded people in the world and next time someone puts you down, picture their small brains in their heads and laugh at them. It will stop them in their tracks hahahahaa
  3. Hey Jill, I think that you are allready doing a fantastic job as you are aware of what you need to do. It isnt for anyone on this site to put people down as we all have needed help in one way or another and everyones needs are different. Having this Lap Banding done has been a mond blowing learning lesson as i thought i was eating quite healthy, but now am realising that i thought i was doing all the right things. I have lost about 15 kg's so far and was Banded on 12/02/10. My thoughts at the time were that i will loose it all in 6 months and allthough this sounds nice, i now dont want this. It took me years to put on all of this weight and it can take me 2 or more years to loose it and keep it off if at the end i am going to have a healthy mind and body. I wish you good luck Jill and everyone else on this forum and hope that we can all be supportive of each other instead of putting each other down. Good Luck :-)

    Exercise frequency

    I excercise 3 times a week as i work full time and long hours. On a Saturday morning i walk into town and get the paper which takes a little over an house. Then i meet up with the family and play tennis of a couple of hours. I like Tennis as it doesnt feel like i am excercising much, as i miss the ball a lot i have to run a lot to get it hahahaa. Then on a Sun, tue and Thursday night i do excercises from the Wii fit plus for about an hour. Good luck and i hope that this may help a little:tt2:
  5. I only burp a lot when i eat too fast. Everyone is defferent so yours could be for another cause

  7. I am in the same situation. My Husband was very supportive, but when i started loosing weight, he said when he cuddles me at night i just dont feel the same anymore and he feels her is with someone else and it doesnt feel right. I asked him what can i do to help him, but he said that he will get used to it in time. About a month has gone by now and he isnt complaining about it anymore so he must be getting used to it. Im also trying not too loose too fast to give him time to adjust to each stage. All in all it is all well and i am loosing pretty consistently which is good.   8. Hey there, I was weighing myself every day, then went to once a week and now every couple of weeks. The reason for this was my weight wasnt coming off quickly enough and also would change a fair bit from day to day which was not good. I was thinking, what am i doing wrong. I then went to my doctor and he said it is definately not about the weight, it is more how your clothes are fitting and i have gone down nearly 2 sizes but this is not showing on my weight loss. To date i have lost about 13 kilos and i was banded on 12/02/2010. All in all, i can tell from my clothes, so try not to worry about the scales. Good Luck, Stacey.
