    Fill Doctors near Cleveland Ohio

I'll let you know if I find out anything. If I can't, maybe we could carpool if we both need to go?! We could just split the gas or something, cuz its like 190 miles... eek. Also, Fill Centers has a promotion that if someone refers you you get like $25 of $50 off your first fill. Might be something to look into, if we can't find any thing.

    Fill Doctors near Cleveland Ohio

Nonoma, what doctor do you use to get your fills? I was looking at Cleveland Clinic, but it would be $2600 for the edg (don't know if my ins will cover it, because I can't get a straight answer out of any of them) $217 for the fills, and $300 for the doctors visit....they don't cover after care. As of right now I have an appt with Fill Centers USA, but when I move to Cleveland, i really don't want to have to drive that far. Any one else self pay in Cleveland? I've also tried University Hospitals, with no luck... no one seems to do the fills.

    The cost of a Fill

I second that.... Same here in MI, and the the closest flouro on is in NJ..... Its crazy!! However, I'll be moving to OH, and the doc's at the Cleveland Clinic want $2600 for the edg, which will be done so they can see where the band is at, then $217 for the fill, and $300 if I need to see the doc.... and unfortunately, I don't have an insurance that will cover it, or atleast I can't find someone in their office that can tell me if the after care is covered or not... UGH. I know the band wasn't, so I got mine done in MX...
  4. Mine is going to be about 8 weeks. But I had my surgery in Mexico, and had to decide if I wanted to pay $2600 (not sure if my ins will cover it) for an edg, or go through Fill Centers USA and not do the Flouro.... Soooo I've decided to go through Fill Centers... and the closest time I could get was next week.
  5. So here is my situation. I have insurance right now, one no one has heard of... lol, its Homeland Health Care with Multiplan. My doc here in the states, well, his office dropped the ball, and didnt help me with anything, so i said F it, and went down to Mexico and got my band done. I'm working with someone at the Cleveland Clinic to see if my insurance will cover the fills, if not, I'll be searching for another company. This is fine because right now i'm under my moms insurance, and that's who she has. My question is this, I'm going to be an individual pay for the insurance. Is anyone out there paying for insurance through an individual basis that actually will cover the after care? I was told by my other doc's office that many insurances won't cover it unless the person has insurance through their employer. Please help! Thanks!
  6. Yeahhhh.... I just called them to see what they offer. They told me that since I didn't have the surgery 3-5 years ago, and didn't have them for the last 30 days, they couldn't help me?!?! I don't really understand that, but.... ok. lol
  7. I'm bumping this one up... you mean to tell me that of all the people on this site, no one here has individual insurance?! PLEASE HELP!!
  8. I don't think its really a "you can't have your cake and eat it too" thing. You can be banded, and you can have a baby. It may just take some time. Besides, a lot of overweight women are infertile. If you get banded, and lose weight, it may be easier to get pregnant.
  9. You're not alone... I had to have my boyfriend and sister help pull me up, lol, it'll definitely get better! Just hang in there

    itchy!!

Yep... stitches... apparently Mexico is still doing things old school lol. I'm now 12 days post op. They itch a little bit, but its not to bad.
  11. Hey, where in MI are you?! I'm near the Frankenmuth/Birch Run area.

  12. Well, I don't have a spouse yet, but I do have a boyfriend and we plan on getting married. His thoughts are about the same as your husbands. He says I don't need it, I'm beautiful the way I am, but he understands that It will not only make me feel better mentally, but also physically. He did at one time try and talk me out of it, but, that was because I went to Mexico to get it done, and he just wanted to pay the money here in the US to have it done here. However, he waited until we were in San Diego, and going to Mexico the next day to tell me his thoughts lol. I got banded almost 2 weeks ago, and he's been very supportive through out. :frown:

    Need Xray Help! Plz!

    Lol, I would be too!

    itchy!!

Wear oven mitts!! Lol, jk. I'm not sure what you should do... I tend to itch around the incision and that makes me feel a little better, but mine isn't all that bad. I just took the stitches out today, and still have them bandaged up. You could probably try that, if you tend to do it while you're sleeping, just put some gauze over them and some tape.

    Need Xray Help! Plz!

Yeah, your stomach is definitely not where they said it was. Under your boob is your ribcage and lungs. I think they need to go back to medical school lol.
  16. I'm 8 days post op, and I'm having trouble figuring out what feeling "full" feels like? I had a half of yogurt today and a pop ice, and I was kinda feeling bloated. Is that what it feels like? I know what the hungry feeling is cuz my stomach churns, but I'm just having trouble figuring out the full feeling. Can anyone explain?

    Feeling full?!

Hmmm okay. I'll have to learn to read my body. I haven't actually had the feeling of the pain in the chest, so I probably haven't over done myself, which is good! I just kinda stop when I don't feel hungry. Thanks for all the info :scared2:
  18. I kinda had a similar problem, but not exactly. I would feel very nauceous after I took my antibiotics, I had to break them apart and take em like that. Then about 30 minutes later I'd be in the bathroom dry heaving. It was like i was puking but nothing would come out but spit and burps. So I don't know what my deal was. This didn't start happening until about 3 days post op. It hasn't happened in a few days, so i'm thinking my stomach was just to small and swollen to digest it. Hopefully all goes well for you!
  19. I'm 8 days post op... and sooo sick of gatorade! I was finally able to eat half a yogurt last night. Never knew how good vanilla yogurt could be lmao. There's an amazing Chinese food place around here that I can't stop craving! That and pineapple pizza with hot sauce... YUM! lol
  20. Hey there! I just had my surgery last Monday.....3/8/10 and I felt fine the next day, but it was the next few that I felt like crap... it was more like I was VERY tired, and slept a lot. I'm 8 days post op, and just hanging out i feel fine but if i go to the store, and have to carry out groceries or carry something up the stairs I get kinda light headed, and feel exhausted. so I'd take at least a week off if I were you :scared2:
  21. I ask cuz I hear people saying theirs is on their left side, while mine is in the front of my stomach. Is that just doctor discretion? I got mine done in MX, so I'm wondering if that has something to do with it?!
  22. sandi_022

    Where's your port?!

Ok, good, thats about where mine is also, below the xyphoid process. That makes me feel much much better lol

    Day Two Post-Op

I'm 5 days post-op, and I still have a little pain sleeping on my side.... definitely a stomach sleeper. This might sound weird, but the only incision that still hurts is where the port is, soooo I end up falling asleep like, holding the incision cuz i'm afraid it will hurt, lol. But if I do it right I can sleep on both of my sides, but I always have to roll over during the night cuz I get sore.
  24. My doctor didn't put anything in mine, said I wouldn't be able to swallow, because of the swelling. I'm having issues with the throwing up part :wink2: I got my band on Monday, and I've thrown up 3 times, but nothing comes out, just spit, and its always after I take my antibiotics. I'm not sure what the deal is. I didn't have this problem the first couple days, just been the last, and I'm afraid to drink anything, in fear of throwing it up. I gotta call the doc today to see what the deal is, cuz this sucks!
  25. Ok, this might get a little graphic, but I've never had this problem, sooo I'm hoping its normal. I just had my surgery on Monday... 3/8/10 When I go to the bathroom, I pee, but also, but I also have liquid out of my butt, kinda like i'm peeing out of my butt. It happens almost every time I go to the bathroom. And usually I feel much much better afterwards, so I'm hoping its normal for after surgery? Also. I'm trying to drink as much Water as I can, however, yesterday, I think i may have drank a little to much at a time, and I felt very nauseous, and ended up throwing up, but nothing came out but spit and a little bit of foam. Is this what happens if I drink to much? Or could it have been caused by something else? And when can I take a shower? My mom, a nurse, told me to wait a few days, but I'm really feeling dirty, even though I've washed up with a wash cloth. I just don't want my incisions to get damaged or anything. Thanks for your help!
