  1. I am a type 1 diabetic for 24 years. My lap band surgery is scheduled for Nov. 23, 2009. It is fast approaching and I am getting nervous about blood glucose control during pre-surgery liquid diet and post surgery overall. Can anyone share some feedback, tips, etc... on blood glucose control for type 1 diabetes for pre and post surgery? I would really appreciate it. I am not scared of the surgery more scared of controling the blood sugars and the healing process.
