Well great NSV! I can only wish you success in losing off your boobs! I did go down from DD to C.
  2. Wow! you are doing great!
  3. I agree, I often buy just an appetizer for me.
  4. I agree with Jim, probably way to much. I sometimes can't even tolerate .1 or.2. Please call your surgeon's office to have a bit removed. Mine uses the floro all the time. If it is available, I would suggest doctor using it. Karen
  5. .1 removed made a big differnce to me, so adding a tiny bit should make a difference, too!
  6. Me too! I agree could be your blood pressure(which is very low) is dropping further while you walk.
  7. Congrats! Treat yourself, if only for new scrubs!
  8. Nice! I think of a lot of you as friends and support! I miss you when you don't post!
  9. I have been banded for 3 1/2 years. My surgeon told me last week that he doesn't have a problem with me replacing my breakfast with a smoothy. I make my own with fruit and veggies, and a scoop of protein. He, also, said that he doesn't see any problem with doing a liquid diet 1 week a month. Now, I am on maintenance, so maybe that is the reason he says this! It is different than actual dieting! Karen
  10. Woohoo!to us "oldies", I was 61 when I had my lapband, too. That was almost 4 years ago. I no linger take any pills except vitamins. I got off my blood pressure meds after 18 months. I am proud to say that my blood pressure last week was 118/70. Karen
  11. I was like others, I probably lost and gained 1000 lbs over my years. I was on WW and lost 40 lbs, went on vac for 2 weeks, gained 20 back! Lapband is a tool for success!
  12. Sorry, it happens to the best of us! You will be okay! Stay calm and best wishes. Karen
  13. You are gorgeous! You have done a fantastic job. Go smiling into maintenance!
  14. My cravings never went away. But as said try a small chocolate or whatever you crave and then get rid of the thing you had. Karen
  15. I, also, have a NInja. I like to use frozen fruit as I don't need ice cubes then. i like my smoothies to be somewhat frozen. I use frozen strawberries, and add some protein powder to the blend. My surgeon has no problem with me having smoothy for breakfast. My daughter is trying to turn me on to green smoothies like Alex mentioned. Good luck! Karen
  16. Welcome Annette! Lots of us in Florida on here! Where are you at? I live in central Florida about 40 miles from Orlando and same from Tampa! I see a dr in Zephyrhills. I was banded in 2009, I had a revision in 2011 and have, also, gained 30 lbs. I have just had a slight unfill becaue my surgeon felt I was eating around the band. I had stayed away from salads because I had a hard time chewing them well enough. He removed .1 ml of fluid and I just had my 1st successful salad in 3 years! I would be glad to be your friend! Karen
  17. Congrats to you! 1st step is the most important! You took the 1st step!
  18. I agree with daddyof4, it is too soon to get into the water, if your stitches have not healed. I was told not even a bath until stitches heal. Hang in there!
  19. Best wishes, Wade, you are doing great!
  20. Congrats to you! Marvelous to go to the hospital at which you had your surgery!
  21. elsasmom, you need to call your bariatric surgeon's office. You may have had a slip or something else. My surgeon said that my port did a slight flip because the skin got too tight around it. he said a lot of people need to have a smaller port placed after huge weightloss. Anyway, you need an appointment to check your band. Best wishes. I agree with you, I would not have the band taken out. But, that is just my opinion. Everyone has one, you have to make up your own! Karen
  22. i agree, stress and other things, like the weather, warmth, humidity, mood swings can make you band tighter!
  23. Mnwhit, I hope that you can get some relief! Best wishes ShayChristina. Best wishes to you both!
  24. A lot of Floridians and other southerners on here! I am living in Lakeland, in central Florida!
