  1. NSV!!!Congrats on the size!
  2. Yes, to everything being said. I was a size 9/11 in high school, and felt fat! Even my home ec teacher had me join TOPS because I was borderline, chubby! Now, if I was a junior 9/11, I would be skinny! I was down to 8, now a 10. Everyone told me I was too skinny at 8. I am trying to get back into my 8's now! But 10 is okay, too!
  3. Add more protein calories to your drinks. Try Gatorade, or Special K. The idea is not nec. using diet drinks if you need calories. I could never quite understand the surgeon saying sugar free. I guess this will sound radical to most of you! Just my opinion, so not to be taken as a FACT!!! Karen
  4. All great ways to get mind off food! To Solracspree, your art is gorgeous! If I was as talented as you, I would be penciling all the time!
  5. Great NSV! Congrats! New clothes are always welcome for me!
  6. Be careful, and don't do damage to your band. calm down, you might be hungry, but you should not be eating solids so soon after your surgery. best wishes, please check your instructions for eating. Karen
  7. Wow! you are skinny!!!!You look great, congrats on the hard work. And beautiful, outside and in!
  8. I can eat meatloaf, and some porkchops, but very little beef! Others, are different. I can eat meat loaf, and some pork chops, but I do not even want a burger or steak anymore. (but then I am almost 4 years out).
  9. Good advice sp70!
  10. I agree, it could have been either too much or drank to fast. Remember, still have to sip.
  11. Well best wishes, and we will support you. But I know that that must hurt. What everyone else said!
  12. I have been on this site for almost 4 years, I have never heard of that, either! I do want to congratulate you on your weightloss and wish you best luck on your continued endeavour!
  13. You probably have lost whatever you will on the "girls". sorry, I am about the same on top as you. Best wishes, maybe a breast reduction later on would help. It would probably be medically necessary, so paid for by insurance.
  14. Best wishes to you and everyone going to surgery today. This is the 1st day of the rest of your lives!
  15. I use magnesium citrate, can be in liquid or capsule form. I open the capsules to get them down easier. I gee more fiber, but that won't help immediately. So try some magnesium citrate. Best wishes, I too, have problems and get help with the daily dose. Karen
  16. Made me smile, as usual, Jean. I have gotten used to eating what I know will go down and stay down. So, I look like a real picky eater! It's okay with me. There are so many people in my group of friends who have special diets, it is not a big deal. i try to NOT be talking while I eat, tho'.
  17. God is blessing you! Love this post, too!
  18. Hang in there! You are working yourself up for little reason. Many surgeons will numb your port area before a fill. An experienced surgeon, or fill person, will be able to access your port without too much problem, even thru fat. Many surgeons recommend liquids for a day or two following a fill. Please, see your surgeon's office staff for information pertaining to his instructions! Best wishes, Karen
  19. Well, my husband and I are both testing as 3+ on dairy products for allergies. So we are staying away from ice cream and all dairy. I must admit, I too am an ice cream addict! Staying away from Dairy Queen and McDonald's frappes, and Starbucks Frappachinos, is one day a t a time!!! Best luck to all of our addictions! I believe in a Higher Power!
  20. My surgery roommate swears by them. She was so into them that she bought into a company. I have not tried them, but maybe when I have a bit of extra money, I will call her for a try!
  21. Congrats to all NSVs!
  22. Hang in there, it will pass and you will be proud of your will power to get to the other stages!
  23. I treated it just like the original surgery. Take it easy, you will be okay! Karen
  24. Sending you (((hugs))). I agree with your friend, talk to a doctor. Its sounds like you are getting agoraphobia. The longer you let it fester, the worse it will become. Please seek help! You are strong, best wishes! Karen
  25. My doctor, Grossbard has appointments in Winter Park, on Mondays, I think! You can contact Florida Surgical Weightloss Centers 813-788-5569 for information. Best wishes, Karen
