Switched to mushy food
kll724 replied to petemac85's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Relax, ladies, you are in the healing phase and yes head hunger can eat you up right now!(pun intended). Drink lots of liquids! You should be happy that your surgeon have switched you to mushy, already. Don't rush because letting your body heal is important. You might not think so now, but it is! Good luck to you all, Karen -
I would go with the lapband doctor because he was the one who placed it,but you still could have been slipped!((((hugs))))hope you can get some answers!Karen
-
some doctors give a small fill with the insert of the lapband. My surgeon gave me my 1st fill at 6 weeks, but my son got fil during his operation. Different strokes for different folks!!!

Post Opp Diet Variations
kll724 replied to jaxjen11's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You sound like your surgeon is very non-aggressive. I had to wait 2 weeks to move from clear to full, and then another 2 weeks to move to puree. When was your surgery? and why are you trying to rush through the phases? You need to slow down and follow your surgeon's rules! best wishes, don't mean to sound harsh. Karen -
Yes, wonderful that he decided to do this for himself and his family! I wish him much success!

Non painful band slip?
kll724 replied to texas-bandette's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
What makes you think that you have a slip? I agree with Elcee, you will know when and if you have a problem. Relax, but if you do, call your surgeon's office, ASAP! -
It is not! It has chunks of eggs in it. You could eat it as clear liquids if you eat around the eggs and other stuff. I used to eat hot and sour soup on clear liquid as I would not eat the other stuff only the liquid. Best wishes, Karen

Love the picture!!!LOL! Are you in Maryland? Noticed the Orioles shirt! I lived in Maryland for 40 years until I retired to Florida!Karen

What did you eat tonight in honor of Cinco de Mayo
kll724 replied to Terry Poperszky's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Nothing to do with Cinco De Mayo. It is my 43rd anniversary. We did not realize that everyone would help us celebrate! Back bb(before banding), we used to go to Mexican rest. and have a drink and eat in Maryland. I didn't feel like it this year. Drove by some her in Florida, they were crowded earlier. Back in 2011 we were in Phoenix area and went out to celebrate with my sister and brother-in-law. The place waited for the "gringo" to leave before starting their celebrations! Hope that you all who celebrated can recover in the AM! Karen -
Only if you are above 30 BMI! After that, they won't pay for a fill.
-
I am sooo disappointed, I didn't get either of those pms. Guess I must not be as desirable as you 2. waah!!! Flrosie, I guess we will just have to pout some!

((((hugs)))) it is probably stress. Breath!! You can do it. Follow the rules that you have learned over the last few months. Congrats on your upcoming wedding!
-
All of the above!!I Also, I love that no one remembers the fat lady at church, anymore. Church is my main activity, and I am considered normal. Being able to keep up with a grandchild at an all day outdoors field trip. Congrats to us oldtimers for a job well done and the job ahead at maintaining our losses! Karen

Can anyone feel their band in their stomach?
kll724 replied to jennbrenna's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Agreed, but sometimes, I can feel the cold liquids pass through the band. I can feel the port, tho". And at times the port is very dominate. Karen -
What Maddygram said. But you said the other day. How many days, my surgeon has his patients on 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids after a fill to avoid swelling problems. Best wishes, Karen
-
went for a fill today-didn't get one
kll724 replied to donna12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good news, Donna, sound as if you are in the "green" zone for sure. Keep up the good work. I was going to advise a bob haircut for you, but it appears you already have one. I think bobs hide hair loss well. Best wishes and keep on the right path to success! Karen -
Is this an emergency? Band Slippage.
kll724 replied to natalie10493's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Natalie, the gallbladder as my answer, but read this after your own surgeon said it. Hope that you feel better soon. Karen -
Possibly you are too tight. Ask your surgeon for .5 cc removed. see if that will do it. I, too, have a 100 cc band, and can't tolerate my fill beyond 5.2 cc, best wishes,Karen
-
How many are you drinking? Most of us have about 4 a day. Are you getting enough calories? You really should not be that hungry if you are. Are you drinking anything else. I was allowed clear liquids too, broth, Crystal Light, and sugar free jello! Best wishes. keep the faith! Karen
