Very Depressed. Food is winning, I am losing this battle
kll724 replied to Dusty Roses's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was like you. I did not lose weight right away. I had been on the 6 month diet, so I was used to dieting. Try using a smaller plate and watching your food choices. The band will not stop you from making bad choices. Remember, as others have said, the band is a tool. It will take want power to make it work especially until you are in the "green" zone. Best wishes -
What's full feel like to you?

Great advice from the men. I agree with both! -
What's full feel like to you?
kll724 replied to BigOBoy123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Most of us do not go for the "full" feeling. We go for the satisfied feeling. If you eat t\'til you are full, you are probably going to be uncomfortable and not lose weight. stop when you are satisfied. That is, no longer hungry. Best wishes on your successful journey! Karen -
I, also, agree with lellow! If you can't drink, and eat real food, you are probably still too tight. Karen

kll724 replied to Amberley's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Oh my, you are looking good in that biking outfit! Great job. and those wolf whistles from your wife are well deserved! -
My question is why? I have probably had a sandwich less than 5 x since I had my lapband, which is almost 4 years old. I have found other substitutes. Maybe a tortilla wrap will help you. Personally, I use rice cakes. Be careful eating most sandwich stuff like lunch meat. It will be hard to chew up. Good luck on your choices. Karen

EAT ANYTHING YOU WANT & STILL LOSE WEIGHT!
kll724 replied to Jean McMillan's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Magazine
And that is going to work for us!! It is a pipe dream, and we who have been on every diet known to man, know that too! -
Great NSV! It was about 28 years from the time mine was cut off and the time I could actually had it fitted back together to wear it again. I have not removed it since getting it back on at Christmastime!

What everyone else said. It is normal, but you might also want to be alone, because they are eating and you are not. Hang in there, ask for a little space from them. best wishes, come here for support! we will ((((hug)))you!

When can i eat pureed foods?
kll724 replied to turner72560's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You doctor sounds pretty liberal in his diet restrictions. Most want clear liquids for at least a week, and then 2-3 weeks of full liquids. If you are okay to start, I guess as the doctor's office said, start when you feel ready. -
Well, since you are okay, now, can't add to much, drehn88. Just want to advise that you might want to stick to liquids following a fill for a day or two! Bets wishes to all newbies and oldbies, tooKaren

Glad to her that you are feeling better. good to drink Gatorade to get your electrolytes back, too!

I bet all you need is .2or .3 and it will be a big difference! Was for me.

I think you are going to be fine with your new fill!
