Congrats on your success!! You probably do appear taller since you lost all that weight. You are lucky that you can control your purchases. I love buying clothes at my favorite store. They keep sending me coupons and I feel I need to support their effort!! My closets are bursting, as I am at goal and now wearing things a lot longer than before. Good thing I have an understanding husband, My own grandson, says to not loose all my fluff, as he wants ot be able to cuddle it!! Karen

Do I Need To Get A Fill On My 5 Week Post Op Appt?
kll724 replied to JanellesMommy8210's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You sound like you are doing great, and don't feel rushed to get your 1st fil.. You and your surgeon will know whenit is time. As long as you are consistently loosing and are not hungry between meals, you sound like you are okay. Goodluck, Karen -
. Yes, at times, I do miss eating like that. But only for a minute. Than I go, "oh, gross". I don't want to ever eat like that again. It is too much food, for anyone. ( excpet my very skinny daughter-in-law who eats like a cow, and never gains weight.) She actually finishes my meals, and her husband's meal(I was banded 2 year ago, he was banded in aug 2011). anyway, I don't know why the commercials show all these people eating all that food. Yuck!!! even in my fatest times, it was way too much. you will get used to that, and eat a little. I don't go to Outback, anymore. I do miss the blooming onion, becasue I love onion rings. I will make my d-i-l order them from Burger King and have 1. Goodluck to all. karen

kll724 replied to Kami76065's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i would think you will be okay, but my surgeon recommended clear liquids at yoru stage. You are only less than a week out. what did your surgeon's office recommend? Yes, the liquid is probably too thick. also, I was only able to get, maybe, a 1/2 ounce down at a time, due to swelling.Take it easy, and good luck.Karen -
I wen through this, people will get usd to the smaller you! Loose what you feel comfortable with. I like a 140 me, my surgeon suggested a 150 me. Maintenance brought me to somewher in between. Best wishes. Karen

PB=productive burping! Simular to vomiting but not from the stomach and no nasty stomach juices after taste. Karen

Make sure that you only drink clear liquids the rest of today. I could only have clear liquids for 2 dyas and then full liquids for 2 days. DOn't try to intake too much at one time, either, that aslo, might cause nausea! Good lcuk, Karen

I guess that I am abnormal as I did have restriction before my 1st fill. I was on the 6 month monitored diet,it helped. I only ate from a salad plate and restricted myself. But, I tried to eat a 2nd peace of pizza(this was before my 1st fill), I got my 1st pb that day. Go carefully on your band! Good luck, Karen

I only have 5 cc in my band, The surgeon said if he puts any in, it will be too tight. I guess, according to him, I am in teh green zone. But I have been eating ice cream. I need to stay away from that as it is my weakness. (he threatened to take some out!!)Karen -

No More Muscle Milk Light Pre-Mixed Shakes...any Suggestions
kll724 replied to lisa123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree, you shouldn't be only drinking your meals. It is not a good way to live, and likely, if you go back to eating, you will gain weight. Try to eat at lest 1 mel a day. Goodluck, Karen -
Throwing Up After I Eat And Not Being Able To Drink Liquids In The Morning
kll724 replied to kaulana's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
The carbination could be a problem, but you do sound too tight! If that keeps up, you will <likelY, get a slip. There is no pain involved in a slip. You get symptoms simalur to what you are experiencing. I have had 2 slips, one where it repaired itself, and the ltest where the surgoen had to repair it. Be careful. You too coudl/can get a slip! Good luck, Karen -
I, generally, order fish. I really like crusted tilapia! If I can, I will share with my hubby. I will, sometimes, order an appitizer for my meal. I, also, being over 55, like to order from teh 55+ menu; they are smaller portions, just about right for a banders choice. Good luck, best wishes for your new life. Karen

My surgeon's ofc recommends 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids for fills and unfills. ( i usually don't do 2 days clear for unfills). Be careful because you are likely swollen. Best wishes, Karen

Feeling Full Vs Stopping Eating Vs Satisfied... When Are You Done?
kll724 replied to Trinity's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Me too! I am an experienced lapbander, as I 've had it for 2 1/2 years. I usually have a 1/2 cup of veggies and 1 small fish, or whatever Protein I am eating. I have, since nut class, used a sald plate and fork. Usually, my plate is not full, and if it is, it is too much. If I eat 'til full, I usually get a hiccup. if I eat more, woah to me!!!Karen -

Slipped Lapband Questions For Those Who Have Had It Fixed

I had a slip, and repair; it was not replaced. I had it done in October and went on a cruise in November. I was 2 weeks liquid and then normal. I am happy with the repair, however, never have gotten to the green zone. I am on maintenace and working hard not to gain weight. But, you are going through soem thing different than I. Goodluck, Karen
