Yeah good thanks @ At a bit of a stall but will get moving soon I am sure. 5 months out and 29kilos down I guess thats good going.....was about 1kg a week but slowing a bit so need to do more exercise and eat more regularly. Think my body goes into store/starvation mode when I don't eat much-I don't lose much but the more I eat the more I lose so I have to make more of an effort. Would love to keep going with 1kg per week again that be great. So great to hear your getting into smaller sized clothes....that is so good well done Cath!!!

@@Chez hey buddy yeah going ok just want those scales to drop again.....at a standstill so I am going to have to start eating more regularly and exercising. I find that I don't eat till the mid to late afternoon because I am not hungry then at night I am snacking so I need to make myself eat in the morning. I am no morning person I can tell you and I do not like to eat when I am not hungry but I guess I just need to make myself. Maybe then I wouldn't be so hungry at night for snack foods if I ate properly during the day. @@Chez How U doin

@@nerms try broth when your sick of the sweet stuff....it tastes so good I know what you mean about too much sweets. @ try not to worry about the teeny amounts you are getting in right now, as the longer you are sleeved the more you will be able to eat. My dietitian and nurse told me that by about a year out I will be able to have a small plate and I was like you, struggling to get much in but already I am now on half a cup to 3/4 cup depending on what I am eating. I was worried about never being able to eat normal again but I now can and I am loving it!!!!

@@chez lets home I am under 110 soon as it seems impossible but I will get there I know. Right now I am carrying Fluid thanks to almost TOM so I am keeping off them for another week and will see after that. The weight seems to creep up and up thanks to fluid and then crash down so I am waiting patiently at the moment LOL @ as Chez said take each day at a time and you will do great. Everyone heals differently....I was slow but a couple of people I know have been fast and it all just depends on the person. Its a long term thing so there is no hurry.....believe me it will happen just everyone has there own pace. Take it easy and take care of yourself as the healing phase is important

@ yes it is normal to feel down after the op....it feels like a bit of an emotional rollercoaster but please never feel alone. If you need to talk we are always here. Sometimes it really helps just to have a chat or to vent or even just say whats upsetting you. We don't judge....I vent a lot and it really helps. Thinking of you and please message me if you need to have a chat. Thats great that you are out of hospital and on the mend....all the recovery will be over soon. @@nerms WEll done on being in the 80's.....can't wait till I get there one day

@@Cath Three Birches you sound like you are doing really well....It's so hard to drink a lot I know but just try to take sips constantly and as for the bowls.....there is probably nothing in there right now Can't believe you are sleeved already!!!! I thought it was this Tuesday....I am hopeless with days I tell you. Nerms I have the food list equal to Optifast if you would like me to "try" to find it and message it to you. I think I have it in an email somewhere. I was told it's really important that you don't have sugar and carbs and fruit etc as they want the liver to shrink in size as it sits in the way of the stomach. It makes the operation easier and more successful as keyhole surgery. Thats why it's so important to have the optifast or its equal its not about the weight loss so much as the shrinking of the liver which is so important. Carbs and sugar will stop that from happening. Hope this helps xox

@@Mick Molloy Well Done!!!!....wow thats a lot of weight to lose!!!! Are you almost at your goal weight ?? @@nerms thats a fantastic weight loss too.....when are you in for surgery?? What are you doing for pre op instead of Optifast?? I had the food that was equal to being on optifast that my dietitian gave me as I could not stomach it. It did the same thing with weight loss and it was low carb too. Sorry I haven't been on this week.....having a not so great with with the teenagers...well 1 in particular. Being a parent is the hardest job in the world and at the moment I feel like packing a bag and leaving them all to them selves and see how they would all cope then..... Hey you poor thing.....no wonder you feel crap at the moment. Im ok just have some throat thing at the moment.....my daughter has farangitis (lol spelling) and I think I have it now too. I am going to my friends house tomorrow and she is going to help me with my resume so I can start applying for jobs. I have been thinking about becoming a teachers aide because you get school holidays off. Not sure how much I would love it but I do love kids and have always worked with them so it may suit me. Im not smart though and the thought of helping teenagers with maths scares the crap out of me I think I would prefer working with teenagers as I have always worked with younger children and I need a change. My kids are all teenagers now and my house is always full of them and their friends so I am looking after them all anyway.....may aswell get paid to do it Or do I get a job in retail part time....decisions decisions

Hey Chez....it's a roller coaster of emotion I tell you...... As soon as I wrote that I was hearing Ron Burgendy's (Anchor man) voice in my head pmsl....anyway I felt like that on and off for some time. I think it's recovering from all that you go through from all the emotions before hand, the fear the excitement etc to recovering from the anisthetic and the surgery itself. Any surgery I have had done takes me a long time emotionally to get over it and I think thats the anisthetic plays a massive part in that....everyone copes and recovers differently but its an emotional time so just don't be too hard on yourself you have been through a lot and done really well xox

Absolutely it will and its a good thing too that you can get it done at the same time....and they say that people that lose weight are more likely to get stones too so it's something that you wont have to worry about at all after the op. I know I wasn't going to hop on the scales again for some time as I was getting down when I hadn't lost anything....but it has been over a week so thought I would weigh myself and I am down to 113.9......seeing that number go from a 14.5 to a 113.9 was fantastic.....only just under the 114 but I will take that
