  1. I have the same problem. Hopefully, others can guide us!!
  2. Does anyone have any good recipies for lettuce wraps?
  3. Does anyone have any good (quick & easy) recipies for lettuce wraps?
  4. I was banded 8/22 and have lost 20 lbs. I too have had 2 fills and feel little to no restriction. I am a bit frustrated too, but I guess 20 lbs is better than nothing!!!
  5. I simply say "portion control" which is 100% true.
  6. I was wondering if anyone has ever had their band slip or their port flip from excessive coughing? I had bronchitis for about a month and finally got over it, now I have the flu. I have been coughing alot and yesterday I noticed that I have slight port pain and I can feel my port, where I couldn't before. Probably just being paranoid, but still curious.
  7. I have a 4cc band and I am filled with 2.0cc. I go back to the doctor on Thursday for a follow up and I'm not sure if I need another fill or not. Some days I can eat just fine, some days I can't and end up PB'ing. It can be the same food. For example, one day I can get down fish ok, but the next day, if I try to eat leftover fish, I PB. So, it doesn't appear to be the consistancy of what I am eating, but the day in which I am eating it. I eat slow and chew well. It has been 3 weeks since my last fill and I have only lost 2 lbs. What do you think...should I get another fill?
  8. Surby...my doctor filled me too much and I pb'd the Water he gave me in his office, so he took some out. Then I was fine for a few days, then I started pb'ing when eating solids. Now I can eat again, but don't feel alot of restriction. I guess it is very difficult to get to that "perfect" point of restriction. It really depends on the day. Some days I'm fine. Some days I have trouble with solids. Sometimes, I think I eat too fast. The problem I am facing is that on the days when I can't eat solids, I go for the smoothies and softer foods, which are very high in calories. I need to find a happy medium. Good luck with your fill. Sometimes it takes awhile to feel any restriction.
  9. I had my 2nd fill last week, up to 2cc now in a 4cc band. The first few days were rough because of swelling, so I was on liquids. Then for about 3 days, I felt like I could eat 10 horses (sorry, carrots, I'm a vegetarian, lol). The past 2 days, I have not been able to eat ANYTHING solid without PBing, so I was back on liquids. I was also very nauseas this morning. But now I am starving and can eat again and want more. WTF??? Anyone else go up and down like this?
  10. I think this is normal, although you don't want to keep throwing up. It happens to me also, mostly with dinner. It varies from day to day, but sometimes my stomach just doesn't want what I'm giving it, or sometimes I eat too fast. I immediately get "stuck" and feel awful for a few minutes, then finally throw it up (PB), or slime (spitting saliva like stuff). It did not start happening till I had my 2nd fill (total of 2cc's).
  11. Does anyone else find that they can eat more before or during TOM?
  12. I only have a 9.75 band, which only holds 4 cc's, so I only have 2cc's more that can be filled. Thanks for the advice. Although I already know all of these rules, it is still frustrating, but it's nice to be consoled.
  13. I got my first fill on 10/12, 1cc. I still had no restriction so two weeks later he put 2cc more in my band. I could not even drink the Water he gave me, immediately PB'd, so he took 1cc back out, leaving me with a total of 2cc's (hopefully, I think he got all messed up). Now it seems I have no restriction whatsoever...although yesterday, I did PB after eating a small piece of french bread. But today, I have eaten much more than ususal and feel fine. I am just so frustrated!!!!
  14. Shawn...obviously walking is working for you, based on your total weight loss. Way to go!! Do you find you are getting toned with just walking, ie. no flabby arms, belly, etc.?
  15. I also used Dr. de la Garza and Stephanie. I went through Lite N Free. Everything went perfectly and both Stephanie and Dr. de la Garza were awesome. I'm not sure about BeLite, but if you choose to go to Mexico, I recommend going through Lite N Free.
  16. Is walking alone enough to assist in the weight loss process and to keep toned? Knee and elbow problems keep me from doing any rigorous exercise and I hesitate to join Curves, etc. because of my limitations. Does anyone JUST walk and have success?
  17. Yes, I am eating Protein first, etc. My thought was you either have restriction or you do not, not have it for a week, then it goes away. Perhaps I'm wrong, being new to fills. The first week after my fill, I could eat about five or six bites of something and then be really full (even nauseous), but the past few days, I can eat alot more without feeling full.
  18. I had my first fill (1cc) about a week and a half ago. After the first few days, I felt pretty good restriction, but after about a week, I feel like I have virtually no restriction anymore. Especially the past 2 days, I feel like I can eat and eat. Any thoughts?
  19. ginger - Dr. de la Garza, Monterrey, MX - 16 lbs
  20. My pain was minimal. More uncomfortable, than painful. After about a week, I felt pretty much normal. I've had headaches that bothered me worse than the surgery. Good luck...
  21. I don't claim to be a psychotherapist, but I can pretty much diagnose her issues with one sentence: "Hello....you are married to Ozzy...enough said!!" :faint: Just a joke...I wish her the best of luck!!!
  22. I have the same thing. I believe this is caused from acid reflux. It feels like a lump in your throat, very uncomfortable. I have been to the ear, nose and throat doctor and he found nothing wrong. I've also had an endoscopy, which was negative. So they determined it was reflux. Hope this helps
  23. I use Dr. Beltre in Altamonte Springs, FL (near Orlando). I've only gotten one fill done there, but liked him very much. Price is $500 for 1st visit and fill then $100 for each fill thereafter. No flouro though.
