Question about restriction

I had my first fill (1cc) about a week and a half ago. After the first few days, I felt pretty good restriction, but after about a week, I feel like I have virtually no restriction anymore. Especially the past 2 days, I feel like I can eat and eat. Any thoughts?

What areyou eating? Are you eatingyour hardproteins first? Then veggies then fruits then carbs? Certain foods give better restriction then others. Stay clear of soft foods andliquid calories, theses kinds of foods offer no restriction. My fills would get tighter over time. Others have said the same thing, the key to thiswhole thing is patience, as long as the scale is moving in the downward direction then things are working but you must also do some of the work and not rely totally on the band itself. Just because you can eat or feel like eating does not mean you should. hang in there ...

Very few people get adequare restrictions from the first fill....or the first two....somtimes the first three. In the meantime you have to be a grownup and use your brain and self discipline. Stay away from the white carbs (starches) - they only increase your cravings. Eat your Proteins first (a solid one like tuna, eggs, etc), satisfy your sweet cravings with a good Protein supplement shake or coffee.

Best wishes.......

Yes, I am eating Protein first, etc. My thought was you either have restriction or you do not, not have it for a week, then it goes away. Perhaps I'm wrong, being new to fills.

The first week after my fill, I could eat about five or six bites of something and then be really full (even nauseous), but the past few days, I can eat alot more without feeling full.

It often just feels like you have restriction because of swelling...I've had a fill take 3 weeks before I felt it "fully". You will probably need a few more fills before you have restriction.
