    Alcoholic beverages?

Only problem is calories. I am very social with a local fraternal organization and have to go to a lot of social functions. If I know I will be drinking that night I eat fewer calories and higher proteins during the day. No beer, but wine, and cocktails that are not overly sweet. Vodka and sugar free "red bull" is only about 170 calories. I also buy single serving powdered mixers. Order a vodka and water and make it any fruit flavor you want. I feel fine, still get a hangover on the occasional Sunday morning (haha), and just like food now, everything is about moderation. Still social, and down 48lbs since Oct 19th band. Have fun, don't dwell/over think, and enjoy a new start!

    Incision site question

Hey, this sounds too familiar...lol. I was banded the same day as well. Almost same stats as well, freaky. I went fri to remove top bandage covers and all small tape over the 4 small holes were taken off, only port side longer one is still "taped". I asked my PA about the same thing and she told me was that an antibioic cream with pain relief will not only keep skin "moist", but aid in healing time as well as cut down on itching due to the pain relief additive. Hope the eases doubts and helps you out. good luck!!
  8. Good luck to you too. I don't know about you, but that gas pain everyone talks about...haven't had it yet. But I guess it could happen later. I started walking as soon as I could get on my feet and tried to walk every hour while in the hospital. It must have helped. Now doing laps around the house and since I'm not taking pain meds I'm ready to get out of the house and do something. I hope you are feeling good too. Keep up the liquids, and walk, walk, walk! Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
