ok i was wondering what is someone was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and they have the lapband will this be a bad thing ?

hi i havent had lapband surgery yet but i smoke about 5-10 cigs a day and will quite before my surgery but can you smoke after your surgery and do you ?

my doctor told me that i have to give up carbonated drinks cause its dangerous and give up breads and pastas he says if i do eat it it can only be toasted or wheat and i have to be careful and only consume a couple spoons of it does anyone eat bread or pasta?

would they deny you if you were a compulsive eater?or if you suffer bad depression or anxiety

yes i have hip medicaid and my surgeon says they are excellent and he has never had a problem with them in fact they will approve within a week !

when i have done slim fast in the past i would have a lot of bowel movements too

all i can say is wow , im going to be getting the lapband and i asked my surgeon if your body could reject the lapband and he was like noooo , it;s silicone and i know that your body can reject anything , well im happy you're better now take care god bless

so i just made my appointment for the pshychology and i am so nervous , my question is what do they ask you ? what do they dis qualify you for ? and would they disqualify me for having anxiety , depression , and being in the hospital before for it ? what do they ask you someone please help thanks so much :thumbup:

ok so i have to go for some more tests but i got on the scale and im up to 251 and i was like wow! that means i gained about 10 pounds within 3 weeks and im starting my own diet tomorrow so i can get down to 225 before my surgery well before my liquid fasting diet that the doctor wants me to do 1 week prior to surgery . so i am going to do slimfast shakes tomorrow and small meals cause if i dont i will end up 270 by surgery and i do not want that

hello all , i am trying to shed some weight before my surgery cause i know if i don't lose weight before the surgery i will gain 30 pounds easily , cause i know im getting the surgery . so im trying to lose 20 pounds on my own before the surgery i want to drink 2 slimfasts a day and drink juice and water and nothing eles all day if i get hungry i will eat 6oz of food but only 1 time a day so my menu would look like this breakfast. slimfast snack juice lunch slimfast snack juice dinner 6oz of food would this be ok do you think if i did this i mean i wont pass out would i ?

hello everyone , I'am so frustrated , why you may ask well first off i am extremely sensitive and i was going about making all the appointments i needed to make for the lap band and i been trying to find a psychologist that takes my insurance cause i would have to pay out of pocket for for nutritionist and psychologist and it would be 500 all together im trying to just pay out of pocket for the nutritionist so anyway i made 2 appointments already one for the cardiologist and one for the pulmonary doctor but i need a referal from my primary doctor cause its required by my insurance , i called trying to get them and my doctor got on the phone and was like "what's going on?" and im like im trying to get referals and hes like " what for ? who wants them ? " with this attitude and im like wtf! so i told him to remind him im having the lapband done by dr geiss and hes like " who is that?" and im like he's up the island so then he says well i need you to have him fax over everything you need done cause i dont know whats going on then he hangs up on me so i start crying and then call my surgeons office and try to explain to her what a cock my primary doctor is and how he wants me to have dr geiss fax info over and shes giving me a attitude saying "what are you talking about" and im like "are you serious ???? " so she says just go to his office and show him the papers so now i need to go to my primary doctors tomorrow which is 30 min away to show him everything im having done on a piece of paper lets hope he accepts that , man in just sick of people with attitudes how can i do this when no one is wanting to help me im soo frustrated:frown:

yes you guys are right , i don't have a surgery date yet cause im still doing all my appointments and stuff its really a pain in the ass . so who knows when i will have this surgery , i just want to do something so i wont keep gaining from now till then

well im going to also be eating 1 meal 6oz i think im going it make it 2 meals now 6oz with the slimfasts and juice

my surgery will most likely be at the end of december early january i plan on doing it for 2-3 weeks

i was wondering the same thing , i hope it gets fixed i been having a problem with it for 2 days now :wink2:
