Getting my band re-filled next week. They thought I had a slip, but thank goodness I didnt! I gained ten pounds during this time, but I am SO thankful there is no slip and ill be back on the road to my goal very soon!!!

Hey Melissa.. I just saw your pic comment... it took me about 6 months to get the 60 off... Its been almost 9 months now, and im 84 pounds down... It has sure slowed down... but just follow the rules, and you will do great!

hey! Thank you for your comment!! You are doing great! The first fill is kind of a tricky one... I remember that I didnt have much restriction after the first fill either. I did my best to follow a diet, and no snacking, but I spent ALOT of time hungry. It wasnt until my 3rd fill that I hit what everyone calls the "sweet spot" I am not able to eat much, but i stay full for about 4-5 hours at a time which is awesome! With this last fill there was a time of learning that I had to go through though because you cannot continue to eat as normal anymore. I did alot of throwing up until i re-learned how to eat. I had that fill in August and i have not needed one since. Its been quite an experience, but I am soooo pleased with the outcome, as I know you will be too! Keep in touch ok? And if I can answer any questions, I would be happy to

Hey... I dont know how I came across your profile... but I just wanted to encourage you... The liquid diet sucks, there is no way around it... But its OHHHH so worth it... ive love 70 pounds in the last 6 months since I have been banded and its the best thing I never did for myself... you are going to do great! You are beautiful now, and you will be a knock out after

Hi 4X4... Thank you for your compliments! I never mind answering questions because I wish i had known about this site before I had my surgery because I felt so lost at times! I have had my band since April of this year, and I have lost 70 pounds. Today is actually my 6 month "bandiversary"... I would do it over and over and over... of course there have been some challenging days... but the results that I have seen have been worth every minute of being uncomfortable...Diets are never fun... but the lap band is such a great tool... I love it! Hope this helps... Let me know if you have any other questions... i love to be helpful if i can!
