  4. I am going to try this as soon as I get home!! I was told by the nurse in my lapband office that if I was having acid reflux I was eating too much, but my goodness I have it when i eat , when I don't and it doesn't matter how little I eat. I feel like I have been drinking fire. Someone suggested that I get my gallbladder checked and from what I am finding on the internet it is possible. I am afraid that maybe I did eat too much a time or two and did permanent damage to my esophagus. I am not sleeping because when I lay down it is 10 times worse. I have tried rolaids, pepcid ac, tums... nothing seems to work.

    sore in port area

I have had my band since 7/07.The initial sorness went away after a few weeks, and after a couple months I didn't even know it was really there. More often lately though I am feeling it. It is like a burning feeling. Sometimes if I rub that area it will ease up, but sometimes it doesn't. I am a little worried that I may have twisted it or something. I have wondered if it will move as a person looses the weight. I have lost 153 pounds. I haven't been in to see my surgeon in several months I guess I should make an appointment and get back in there to be sure everything is still in the right place.

    Anyone experience this?? Vomiting blood?

It will be fine. I was not happy about having to have fluid removed either. They took 3cc out of mine. Be prepared that when they do start putting it back they won't put all 4cc back in at once. Probably only 1/2 to 1cc at a time. You were too full is the problem. I had "stretched " my pouch as well, but when I went back for my check up it was fine. You are at a crucial point though. You need to be very careful. You want the band to be full enough, but not too full. I am finding that you can go along for a month or two and then when the weather changes you may need to have a little taken out. I think it is better to have 1/2 or 1cc taken out than than to wait and have to have 3 or 4cc taken out because we have stretched out pouch and need to allow room for it to heal. Hang in there. When you go to family functions, try to be careful of food choices. You won't gain your weight back in one day though.
