Two Years, At Goal, Tummy Tuck Complications

loseitsoon.... thanks, OMG... i really had to sit and think for a few and try and remember how old i was when i had it done...43... hehe So not old, but no spring chicken.... lol You look great by the way.... What made you do all this at your age? Just curious... Who am i kidding... Im nosy.... i own that... so because i can't remember crap... I'm calling my ps and asking him what day did i have my tt... I was thinking april, but i think im wrong because it was right be for Mardi Gras 2012.... So it had to be February... Ill have to get back about that... but i do know i was back to work in two weeks. I somewhat agree with you samuelsmom, any procedure comes with risk and of course the pain. I have a high tolerance for pain... Hell i was back at work in three day after my Gallbladder. One week after WLS...But i know my body. I looked at it this way.... I didn't lose all that weight and bust my ass in the gym to be left with all that hanging... No amount of exercise was getting rid of that.... It was a risk i was willing to take and im glad i did. My only regret was not have a breast reduction at the same time.... I listen to other and was told how hard the tt surgery was and to not have both done.... now im stuck with these huge breast and can't lose them.... i started out a 44G... now im a 34H....

    hot coffee

i could not live with out coffee..... i love it hot or cold. Growing up in the south, we start drinking coffee as babies.. no joke. But we call it "coffee milk".... of course it 3/4 milk and 1/4 coffee... but i started everyday with it. My grandma use to make our coffee milk, toast with Peanut Butter... and send us off too school.... True story I fine drinking me helps me ... i know it sounds crazy.. but i feel it calms my stomach. What kind of coffee are you drinking? Home brewed or something like Starbucks?

    Tummy tuck ....

Thank you... the 6 month and year was taken by my PS. the other was taken this am.... I had people asking how visible my scar was. its actually pretty low... about two inches from the top of my "private". i lighten the picture up so it can be seen. not normally that white... hehe. but the tanning bed is calling my name.... lol I wear string bikinis with no problem and thong underwear... Even the skimpiest is still good. You should have him take some... im sure others would love too see a good outcome.

Two Years, At Goal, Tummy Tuck Complications

I had a great experance with my TT.... but then im a "surgery pro".... lol (2 c-sections, gallbladder, hysterectomy, DNC's, WLS)... My PS didn't use drains... which was one of my requirements... NO DRAINS. Everyone i spoke to that had the TT said hands down the drains were the worst part. and infection is easier. Any-who.... Mine cost 8k..... that was total (dr, hospital, garment, aftercare... etc). Day of i went in to our local facilities, he drew on me, he knew that i planned on wearing bikinis and i wanted a low incision. and i wanted to keep the appearance of my current navel. which he did. Surgery went great, no complications, to the room i went for an over night rest with a morphine pump...(yeah). Next day, work up, of course there was pain... but he prescribed pain meds and Lovenox injections for clotting that i had to get twice a day. Thank god my son and DIL are both RN's they came AM and PM. In about 3 days i was walking down my block from corner to corner.... I still looked like the man on the Evolution chart... hehe.... but walking as soon as possible i think helped a lot. My healing progressed very well and i was back at work in 2 weeks. this is my before and after... the single shot was taken this am because i had a few people PM me asking what my scar looked like now. So he it is.... six months after, one year and almost three years after.

    Struggling to find right bra

According to studies about 80% of women are wearing the wrong size bra. I, being a very large breasted woman (34H) know this all too well. I have a couple places i go to that are a couple hours away from me. But so worth the drive. When i wear the wrong size i can always tell... My back is in terrible pain. I have been fitted a couple different ways. One place measures around the under of my breast... if you are an even number (36) add 4 = your band size would be a 40..... If odd (33) add 5 = 38 band size.... it should fit snug. One fitted me by going across my breast and subtracted the band size from the across the boob size . I have an 8" difference... 8 alphabet down is H.... If you were 6" diff. you would be an F... 4" diff. you would be D.... and so on. The other measures from the underneath the boob coming up to the nipple... same thing... each inch is a cup. My best recommendation is to find a local boutique and have them fit you properly.... After i get my correct fit i then go to this site that YESSSSS it's in the UK... but i have never had any issues with orders with them. They sell bras and swim suits by the bra size....i have bought tons of stuff and the prices are much better than in a local store. www.belle-lingerie.com

    50 shades of Grey

lol.... it is very graphic and explicit... that's for sure. Like i said.. deff. not for everyone. I'm one of those that will read anything that grabs my attention. Some of my favorite authors: Tracy Peterson, Judith Miller, Deeanne Gist (these three i would say they write Historical Christian Fiction) (They are fiction with pieces of History thrown in), Karen Kingsbury (Redemption Series), JR Ward (Blackdagger Brotherhood), Patricia Cornwell (Scarpetta Series), Nora Roberts (too many to write),.... I use to read a lot of Danielle Steel, but she got boring too me. Anywwho... those are just a few that i always wait with anticipation for the newest book and then devour it in one night... Then i pissed because now i have to wait again.

    Bilatoral medial thigh lift

I had my TT done April 2012... i was self pay and so worth the money. I was lucky that i lost slow and didn't need thighs or arms done. I do believe that had in not had had multiple surgeries in the past i could have lived with the stomach also. But after two c-sections, hysterectomy, gallbladder and the band... my muscles were shot it was well worth the 8k.... no drains, no staples. he removed the extra skin, tighten the muscles, did a little back contouring.... stitched the inside and glued the outside. Super happy with my "almost invisible" scare. I was back at work in 2 weeks... Grant you i have a desk job... but for me.. this was a pretty pain-free surgery. Which i would do again in a heartbeat.

Supper 1/2 cup of home made chili with 6 saltines and snack was 3 girl scout samoas. no exercise due to the fact that i had the grandkids and it was 30 degrees here in Louisiana... I know some of you are saying,... that's not cold.... hell if it an't... lol

    50 shades of Grey

so for those women that "loved" 50 shades and want a really erotic read. Read The sleeping Beauty Trilogy ... by A.N. Roquelaure AKA Anne Rice. No they are not vampire books... Im not by any means an Anne Rice fan... I read these book back in the early 90ies, you know when they were in paperback (which i still have). Im re reading them now because she has a fourth book coming out next month. Yes, the sex is graphic and explicit, so if that bothers you, please don't read them. They are NOT for the faint-of-heart. She dives right in from the first pages......But the story wouldn't work any other way. She brings you right along with Beauty into another world, and you can't help but be drawn in by the tempting surrealism. A great escape, in my opinion. It's only for those who enjoy good erotic fiction (this would probably fall into the S&M/Bondage genre).

    50 shades of Grey

Im an advid reader and will read most anything if it keeps my interest... I read these because everyone said how good they were... i mistakenly bought all three.... had i read the first one first... i would have never wasted my money on the remaining two... Lexie.... don't waist your time. I read all three in hopes that they would get better... let me sum up all three... Girl meet boy, girl is a virgin...(of course she is), boy become obsessed with her because she wants noting to do with him, she has self esteem issues.... they break down the wall... become intimate... he confides in her his "secrete" ... she is excepting..... (now this is how the remainder of the books go) She does something that pi$$es him off, he punishes her in some sexual way, she forgives him... repeat... repeat... repeat. They were the most boring, predictable book i had read in a long while (Danielle Steele books are like this) I have been asked numerous times to go see the movie with girlfriends and i say... I didn't like the book, why would i waist money on the movie.

    Healthy living after Band surgery

Dannii.... Im a little confused.. did you have surgery already?
  17. Chai.... if you don't want anyone to know..... TELL NO ONE. people like to gossip... Even your bestest friends with eventually tell. Especially when they are large people too. When you start losing.. and people start noticing and those people hear and get jealous.... you can bet you last dollar the will say.....Well i could lose too if i had WLS.... then that's all it takes. Just be prepared with an answer... Smile when you do. My standard answer was.... I'm watching what i eat , controlling my portions and exercising.... Which are all completely true. Now when people ask me.... hey, how's your day.... i say... I'M Fabulous.. Thanks Even to my A** hole husband....... Because I am...
  18. im over 5 years post op... and at first when people would say that, it would hurt my feelings. Now it's a whole new ball game... When someone dares to say that WLS is the easy way out ... I turn to them and say Oh really, tell me what you think you know about WLS.... That normally catches them way off guard. I love watching them back stroke.... Then i say.. Well, im free tomorrow for you to follow me around and if it's so easy, you will have no trouble adhering to all the rules that i have to..... Such as... No drinking with meals.. EVER!! No straws... small plates, small utensils, chewing and chewing till your jaw hurts. Eating so slow that by the time your finished it's all cold. to just name a few. then at 5 you can come to the gym with me and exercise... if that don't work i just tell them to "f" off and mind their own damn business.

    Discouraged...

That was my question also.... who is billing you? I sure in the hell would not pay them. If its the hospital, most of them are really great about working out a payment plan... and another good thing is they are not allow to charge intrest... I agree, the band is a lot of maintenance. When i had mine done, i got one year of fill or 7, which ever came first. Of course the 7 came first... just try your best to get back on track... it really is worth the effort. Remember a 38 lb loss is better than any gain...

    acid reflux

I was having the same problem. I woke up every morning and had to drink gavascon extra strength. And it did help. Breakfast was coffee and yogurt or breakfast bar. I could always keep that down lunch something fast. Normally a potato or Soup. But only a few bites. My vice is Mt dew. I can't live with out it. Most of the time I could keep all that Down, but not always Supper, now this is mostly eating out and almost always ended up with me in the bathroom throwing up. Every thing from supper and sometimes lunch would come up There for i knew I was too tight but being hard headed I refuse too go get and unfill. I had never had one (except when I had my TT). So this past Wednesday I gave In And went. I feel so much better. No reflux no heartburn and I have not thrown up since. I'm not saying that this is your problem, but don't be stubborn like me. I'm glad that I didn't do any damage too my band. So please go and see him/her. Good luck

    Starting back...banded 3/20/08

Would you guys mind another person? I was banded 11/09. And got too 143 at my lowest. Two years ago my husband also lost his job. It has been a tough road. He is back at work but is now home every night (ugh). It's no secret he has not supported me on this journey. Now with him home, he sabotages me every chance he gets. From the crap food we eat (out mostly because it's only the two of us at home now). To the snack that he buys. I use to go to the gym after work, but now he wants me to come home "and be with him". This is just his way of keeping me from going. In turn I am now at 160. Which I know is not bad but I felt so much better in the 140ies. So for the first time in two years Wednesday I went to the dr and got a 1cc unfill. I was way too tight and struggled with eating everything. I feel so much better. I have even lost 2lbs already. I really need the help and would appreciate your support Thanks Chris
