    Lap Band to Sleeve?

Yes i did have the band 2009-2017. I didn't gain any weight before my removal. Do you still have your band?

8 DAYS OUT AND STILL SO SICK-help!

it is common.... for nearly all the surgeries. When i was banded all those years ago i stuck to the diet plan to the "T".... clear liquid for a week, full liquid for a week, puree and then "food". Like someone said your stomach is angry and swollen. Don't drink anything cold....try at room temp or hot. That helped me. If you are stressed about all this, it can also affect your stomach. Just take small sips of water, soup, protein shake..... You should also know what size band you have and if he/she put any in at the time on placement. You should keep a record of all your fills.

    Food Before and After Photos

Warning!!! Warning!!! Saturday we celebrated our 1 year anniversary and "shared"... (i had my normal 4oz) Bite of everything. Except the Foie Gras... and the scallops .... OMG they were so good. Topped it off with a glass of wine we brought back from our trip to Italy. Menu: Foie gras with shiitake mushrooms Bone-in filet (med rare) Sea scallops Grilled Brussel sprouts Greyre and chive potatoes Dessert: we shared one Petit Four (these are beyond delicious)
  8. I found this one worked better for me.... zero flavor or smell. you can mix it in most everything. 15g in 1oz. I mixed in my water, jello, pudding, soup, yogurt, .... anything. https://shop.medtrition.com/ProSource_NoCarb_Neutral_25_Pouches?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI26SgneiB7AIVkh6tBh2UCwi2EAQYASABEgJ1SfD_BwE
  9. I'm a scale wh*re...... i weigh myself every day... it started my first go around. My scale is digital so i can see the Oz's and i counted that. So no real "stall"..... but i did find that i would go days with losing ounces..... and then bam 2-3lbs. The body is such a crazy marvelous thing..... I also found that the more i moved the more weight disappeared. Keep a positive outlook and surround yourself with positive people. Remind yourself that every day is a new start. Just keep doing what you are doing.

Post Op - 5 Weeks - Suddenly full ALL the TIME

I could not tolerate the bars at all.... it felt like a brick in my chest. I got the liquid protein. So much easier to get in. Mixed it with most everything..... zero flavor. Plus i hate the gritty texture in my mouth and the smell from the protein shakes made me nauseous. See if your dr has samples of this one: https://shop.medtrition.com/ProSource_NoCarb_Neutral_25_Pouches?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI26SgneiB7AIVkh6tBh2UCwi2EAQYASABEgJ1SfD_BwE Are you logging your food? myfitnesspal is a great one. For me writing down gave me opportunity to not be "completly" honest. I also monitored my weight on Baritastic. I would also say that the 10pm eating is not a good idea. I normally try to stop at 7pm.... and call it a day. I think you are doing a great job....

    The Struggle is Real

only your SX can tell you if you have stretched your stomach with a scan. and there is no way of shrink the stomach or pouch except for sx. You can however reset your brain.... i've had to do this a few times over the years.

    Lap band to bypass

simplest answer... Yes pretty much is what i hear. I had the band for years and you are correct. Drinking makes it move. I did my best to not drink right after and wait at 30 min. I can say that with the sleeve it's pretty much the same. Now i can only eat about 3-4 bites and then im full. As soon as i drink, hungry again. I can eat almost anything now, whereas the band i had a lot of "no go" food. i lost and maintain a 89lb loss with the band till it slipped. 232lbs down to 143lbs. Sleeved 8/28/19 at 173lbs and today i'm at 120lbs...... 5'2" and 52 y/o

Help! I ate McDonald's 2 weeks post op

Will i'm sure you now know that it was wrong.... but no use crying over spilled milk. What's important to remember is how this made you feel...... Physically and emotionally. I always stick to this way of eating..... one Rule: Only eat at a table. Never in the car, never on a couch, never in the bed..... When we start with Not eating at the table we open ourselves up to so many dangers. I know i had to find this out the hard way. Eating in the car leads to fast food and fast food leads to bad food choices. It also leads to hurried eating, Which leads to overeating, which leads to no weight loss or a weight gain. Eating on the couch leads to eating in front of the tv, which leads to not paying attention to how we are eating, which leads to eating too fast and again.... Overeating. Eating in bed is the same, but it's mostly junk food. I learned there (for me) there was a right way to satisfy my cravings.... Portions. Example: Chips, i would open the bag, count out 4-6 chips, close the bag, and return it to the closet. Sit at the table and one by one slowly eat till it was like mush .... by the time i was at prob 4 i was good... threw the rest away.... don't think about putting them back in the bag... that will lead to you impulsively reach in the bag. I have to throw in the garbage disposal.

What causes YOUR weight loss stall?

I've always thought stalls were my body's way of catching up.... When i had a stall... i would go back and look at what i was eating or Not eating..... Doing or Not doing. I would then make adjustments Some think.... i'll snack on nuts... well they are good for you, but when you eat a large bag of them a day... NOT good. Make sure you are logging your food, water and exercise. Remember to take pictures and measurements.... sometimes we think we are at a stall, but our measurements reflect differently.

2 weeks post opp weight loss

you and i started at or about the same stats. In 2009 i was 232lbs, 5'2".... the difference is i had the band back then and i know the weight loss is slower than with GB. I did get to 143lbs, so your goal is very doable. It did take me a while. I lost 69lbs the first year and 20 the next.... but again i had the band. This time around (sleeve) i stated at 173lbs. I lost 53lbs over the last year (sx 8/28/19). I would say you are doing a great job and to keep doing what you are doing. I'm sure you will at some point hit a stall (we all do)... but just keep working it.... I have no doubt you will reach your goal by or before your year. Good luck
  25. if its the same as the test they do before you can leave, i didn't think it was that bad. I stood up and drank the liquid while the machine watched it go down.
