Why is she being so mean to me?

Point well taken Ms Jean.... I don't mean to be a (you know what) it just kind of happens sometimes. I know my faults and I truly don't want to offend anyone... It's the way i have always been.... but i'm more critical with myself than anyone else... But on the other hand, if you want know the truth... Like does this dress make me look fat.... don't ask me unless you really want to know the truth. I've just always believed that it's easier to keep up with the truth.... than a lie..

    My biggest regret

well Lauri.... If you re-read her post you will see that she never asked for anyone's including mine, opinion ... She stated facts that after being banded for a short time (saw on her profile) that she couldn't eat "good" foods only "bad" or Junk foods. and that getting the band was a big mistake. I simply stressed to her to re look at what and how she was eating. I along with others have try to simply bring to mind some of the things that she maybe doing wrong. If you think giving constructive advice, nice or not, is bad... well then why are you on here. This is not fantasy land... things are not always gumdrops and rainbows.... sometime people need to here thing before it really hits home. I may be harsh at time, But I only say what others are thinking but are too afraid to say because of retaliation from other. i have had many people PM me saying .... Thanks for saying what you said..Good or bad..... that's what it took for me to see what i was or wasn't doing..... I myself was on the receiving end of some harsh words.... and when i really looked deep within... She was right... This is a learning experience, we all learn something new everyday.... this is why i come here.

    What Is Your Job?

Wow... i'm surrounded by amazing people.... My first job was a mom at the tender age of 16. Started working as a waitress... and LOVED every minute... I did that mostly till 94' when i went back to school and got my degree in Business. But i have been the following: Mom, Waitress, phone telemarketing, video clerk, sandwich artist..(lol), worked in a fabric store and Accounts payable clerk. One of my most fun jobs was a Crane operator..... My last job (10 Years) was in purchasing and then moved to casualty claims at a Major LTL freight company before the laid me off and now: the past two and half years I have worked for an company that manufactures and install erosion control concert mats... I'm a logistics coordinator After Oil companies (shell, exxonmobil, tx gas, fl. gas.... etc) come to us with an erosion problem, we go out and install our product. I find and purchase and or rent everything needed to complete the job..... from finding hotel room, porta potties, dirt, 80,000Lb excavator, track loaders...and EVERYTHING else...

    You all have been warned....

hey B.... you are looking great!! Like i said, most of us in the south start shooting guns at an early age mostly for hunting reason... duck, geese, deer, rabbit... etc. So shooting in not new to me at all. But, learning to be safe and confident with my gun is why i took the class. I clean office buildings on the weekends and sometimes i don't get done till after dark, i want to be able to protect my self. This is a crazy world we now live in.... it will be crazier if we and Americans aren't allowed to defend and protect our self, family and property. Like i said before.... i would rather have a gun and never need it than need a gun and not have it.
  5. So i didn't know what to Title this.... so i just went with that. I must have been a very good girl this year, this Christmas my husband bought me a Ipad Mini and a new handgun.... Watch out i my be changing my name to Annie Oakley.....lol I am from the south and "we" grow up with guns... but this is how it goes..... when you can hold it and shot by yourself... your ready..lol Needless to say i have been around guns my whole life. Hunting and recreational. My mom HATESSSS guns, but my dad & grandpaw always taught us to respect the gun and never touch unless you have a reason. But i never took a "formal" gun safety training class. That was until this past Sunday .... That's right, i went Sunday, in the cold and rain to learn how to shot and use my gun safely..... I know you all feel better knowing that. It was a all woman safety and concealed carry class. That being said...... I was amazing. Made a 100 on my test and was the top girl shooter out of 10... whoop whoop. I am now a 9mm packing mama....lol. Don't piss me off.....lol just kidding We shot from 25' away.... picture of me... is our last part when we had to pretend we were defending our self. Up close, one handed, other hand up protecting your face and head... then shot two in the pelvic ... step back take your stance and then put three in the chest... I have to admit i was nervous and was taking the class only to feel more confident with my gun and to know that I can protect myself........ I was not expecting it to be so much fun... i can't wait to go back this weekend and shot with my husband so i can show him what i learned ..... and maybe shot better than him... wink wink. Yours truly.... Bayou.... Aka Annie Oakley....lol

    My biggest regret

Of course she can eat bad food we all can eat bad. It takes no effort too. It's eating good that takes effort And I did say she needs to go talk to her dr. But she needs too be honest with him/her about what and how she eats. She very well could have messed her band up. But I. The years that I've been here. Most of the time it "user error".

    My biggest regret

i respect the opinion of the people above... But, We as society have to stop coddling our younger generation..... and with all do respect... if she only has 2cc in her band and can eat all the "bad" stuff, then she can eat the good stuff. Some people are just not ready for the commitment.... she has only had the LB for a few months and i really don't think she has mastered HOW TO EAT... There is no way... She doesn't need an un fill... she needs to learn how to eat WITH the band... Although the doctor may give her one to ease the whining... Do go to the doctor and tell him that ...... Tell him that you can eat all the bad and not the good... and see what he says.

    the pitfalls of getting skinny.....lol

    You all have been warned....

Rayann... i would highly recommend taking the safety concealed class. the only woman's class i did was wonderful and i was not embarrassed to ask questions.

    You all have been warned....

terry... you sound like my husband.... Thanks for making me laugh..... I would rather have a gun and not need it than need a gun and not have it.... Just a question: elcee my friend, and yes you are my friend... still... Would you be more inclined to post a sign in your window that says: This house is a gun free house..... Are ... This house is protected by a gun owner? Because it sure would make it easier for the criminals to pick which house the hit....

    My biggest regret

MKB.... I'm not one that is all sugar and spice.... so here it is.... you said you have trouble eating salad and chicken... good stuff, but not the bad. That right there tells me you were not ready to have the band put in when you did.... because if you were you would be following the rules you would be eating. Saying i can't eat chicken, but i can eat a cookie is crazy. Were you prepared for the "life" changes you have to make with the band...? I don't think you were... should like you were just one of many who thought... i have the lb surg. and won't have to work at getting healthy. I will have it done and it will stop me from eating all the bad stuff and that will be that. Well, the band does not STOP your from eating bad... it's meant to help you learn portion control. As my friend Texas said... how are you eating? Have you really sat down and took accountability of what and how you are eating? I recently had a come to Jesus with ice cream... I got into a bad habit of stopping after work and getting a scoop and eating it before i got home. Accountability with your band: are you buying only the Good foods? It takes just as much effort to buy good as bad. Are you pre portioning out on a small plate? Your nutritionist should have set with you for Hours explaining how much you are to eat in a meal. And the way you should eat it..... Starting with turning off the tv, putting down the book.... and really paying attention to how you are eating..... small kid spoon or fork, your bite should be no bigger than your pinky fingernail. Chewing until no chunks are left and it's almost puree in your mouth.... NO DRINKING WITH YOUR MEALS.... Eating all your Protein first, than your veggies... You have to be real honest with your self and think..... did the band fail me, or did i fail my band.

    You all have been warned....

i know it not right to Glote.... but, i Love it.... really. He bought me a Kel tec Pf9. Black... not pink, although i would have loved a pink one... he said... no....lol So now i have to send off my cert and paperwork along with my fingerprints and wait the 4-6 months to get it in.... Maybe it wont take that long seeing as though i have been a fine upstanding member of society....

    I needed that....

I want to start by saying i'm Sorry too all my friends here.... I have been a bad role-model over these last few months... Need to start being honest with myself and say I have been a bad LB patients this past year.... I know you all have been there with me, supporting me and giving me all the "at-a-boys" and i truly appreciate them... Thanks for always being there for me. So my apatite has been so out of control lately i find my self hungry all the time.... So this morning i call my doctor and he was able to get me in this morning. Stepping on the scale, i knew it would not be good.... 150... Holy ****. He added 1.5cc to my band and i'm hoping that will help me get my hungry back in Check. I have been eating bad.... ice cream, and lots of carbs.... have not been drinking all my Water and have not been to the gym in over 8 months.... Today is a new start.... Going to get my Butt in gear and get into shape.... lose at least 10lb and get toned. NO MORE EXCUSES..... I promise to me.... to get back on track and make me and all my friends proud. Block out all the negative and embrace all the positive.... NO MORE ICE CREAM.... more Protein and more water.... and back to the gym at least 4 days a week. I will start running tonight....

    Scars

so read your NOOOO no tanning beds.... and i thought.... hummmm maybe i should call my PS. So i called and he said... It has been almost a year and i am safe to tan.... Thanks goodness..... cuz we all know that tan fat looks better than white fat.....lol
  21. You are correct. Every insurance is different even same providers.... My BCBS does not cover any WLS. My company opted out of that. We are a small company and did this to keep cost down. Any who.... When i had my LB surgery i was working for a different company and they had UHC and it was covered. Unfortunately for me the day i went back from LB surgery i got laid off.... I attended a seminar at the end of July, got all my paper work in order made sure my BMI was correct and then set an appointment. Most insurance goes by your bmi. Mine was 35 with one or more co morbids. are a 40 with out any co morbids. This is where i fell. I was 5'2.5" and weighted 223. I had no health issues.... JUST FAT.... August i met with my LB doctor and did all the test..... Cardiac, sleep test, nutritionist, barium swallow and the phyic eval. My doctor did not send in each result as they came back, instead he compiled everything and sent in along with a surgery date all in one packet..... Approved on the first try. I had my LB surgery Nov. 10, 2009...... about 3 months later. Would i do this again...... most defiantly .... in a New York minute. I was a slow loser and i lost 60lb the first year. And 20 the second. Since, i did gain a few back.... but i'm on the right track and as of this morning i'm at 148.. Started size was a paints 18-20, now i wear 6-8. Shirt was a 2xl.... now i wear a large (my breast didn't lose) Bra was a 44H, Now 36FF-G. Shoe 7.5, now 6.5. I feel wonderful!!!! Remember, LB is not for everyone. You have to be truly committed to the process. You have to know that it's not a magic thing that once you get it.... bibbity bobbity boo you wake up skinny. You will have to watch everything you eat and how you eat. You will have to exercise.... If you can't go to meeting in your area..... this is a great place to meet new friends and talk about your new life... One of the few places we are all comfortable talking about our weight...lol This site has become My Place where i can come and speak freely about what's going on in all aspect of my life... I have met some truly inspiring people here. Not just people that have lost weight, but people that lost weight while going through divorce or battling cancer or other illness.... taking care of their loved ones.... Good luck to you.

Thanks Sunshine... Coconut oil works great. Rub it daily if you can. It will help out a lot. Most important thing is to keep it moisturized... Im concerned how my TT scar is going to do in the tanning bed.... going to start today... so we shall see....lol

    I needed that....

it's hard.... i so wanted ice cream last night.... but i said... no, no ice cream damn-it. and kept going down the street. I know it doesn't sound like a lot... but this is my demon... I will slay that demon yet....lol
  25. not a stupid question at all..... i'm not sure about others, but during my TT my PS removed all my fill and re positioned my port lower and closer to my New navel. I like it better now because its not right under my breast anymore. I do now wish i would have asked to replace my old port with a new low profile port. Live and learn...
