  1. Just be patient and wait on that restriction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Please. I was like you and could not wait to fill some restriction. Now i have about 5cc in my 10cc band and I can't eat anything without feeling like I may be sick. I eat really small portions, and sometimes I have trouble eating low-fat yogurt. It is helping because since I got filled last month I have lost over 8 pounds. So be careful what you wish for. I sometimes wish I could eat just a little more, but I guess thats the greedy girl in me.
  2. I really needed that boost of confidence mariecarmen. I have been struggling and the pressure of going on a cruise and having to put on a bathing suit is giving me anxiety. It sems as if I have forgotten the basics. I have to get back to the basics.....thank you and wish me luck!
  3. Ladies I know this sounds crazy but I can't wait until my next fill, while I dont want the "discomfort" or being too tight I definitely need more restriction. Some habits are hard to break...like wanting to eat when you're really not that hungry. I go for my second fill tomorrow and I will be joining the gym in February. My goal this year is to drop 30 lbs. Wish nme luck!!!!!!!!!
  4. My port still hurts but I just had the surgery on 9/28/06. My scars itch like mad!!!!!! Is anyone experiencing this?
  5. I am having the same problems as you, so don't worry. I just came from the dr's office and he told me that this is normal. The six weeks after the surgery is for healing and if you loose weight great, but if not don't get discouraged. I also was getting really worried because I don't have too much restrictions and can practically eat whatever I want, although I try not to. I have gained about 2 lbs. I am having problems with eating at night. During the day I am busy with school and working two jobs, but at night I often get the munchies. My first fill isn't until 11/9/06 so I have 3 weeks to go, and I probably will gain a few more pounds, but I will not get dsicouraged.:phanvan
  6. Ladies, I know the feeling I thought it was just me, I have been eating everything and I still have 3 weeks for a fill. I really dont know what to do, and I have a dr's appt on Thursday. Im scared to get on the scale. I am glad to know that I am not alone.
  7. well i am having that same concerns. I am planning on trying to do mostly liquids if possible until my first fill. I have already gained 1.5lbs....and i am nervous. good luck
  8. Congrats!!!!!!!! I have also been on pureed food for 4 days and no I dont have any restrictions as of yet. i have been told that this time is basically used for you to heal. I am having a difficult time not eating as well. i am able to eat pretty much anything. So I am in the same boat as you...but its not just you
  9. Thanks for the advice. Today I am doing really good. I was up early and cooked breakfast for my family, and now I am relxaing having a protein shake. I know that i will have to deal with the pain at the port area but everything else, (except for the gas pain) has subsided. Any suggetsions for gas relief? I have been taking Gas X, i guess its working slowly.
  10. I was just banded on Thursday, and I am in a good deal of pain. I wanted to know when does the pain end. My body seems to be sore, I wonder is this because I am not moving around enough? I noticed that I am sore around the area of my port. I will admit that the medication is GREAT:D Any advice
  11. I am having my surgery today and I plan on returning to work Saturday. Im not sure that it will happen, but we'll see.
  12. I am preparing to get banded on 9/7/06 and boy am I nervous. I am nervous about everything from my diet, managing pain, and returning to work. Today I am going food shopping to pick up a few items for my surgery,so I am getting prepared. Can anyone give me any suggestions?
