Hi

I'm new to this forum. Actually I have never been in any forum type site, chat room or anything else. I was banded in Monterrrey Mexico on September 22, 2006. My starting weight was 305 lbs and I'm down to 290. I have some big concerns that I'm hopeing someone can help with. I started my musshies 4 days ago and I'm feeling no restriction what so ever. I don't feel full, I have never felt nausiated. Is this normal until your first fill? I was hopeing my body would tell me "no" a little more severely. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks:help:

Congrats!!!!!!!!

I have also been on pureed food for 4 days and no I dont have any restrictions as of yet. i have been told that this time is basically used for you to heal. I am having a difficult time not eating as well. i am able to eat pretty much anything.

So I am in the same boat as you...but its not just you

Thank you so much for the reply. I'm feeling pretty alone here. So I guess to survive this first 6 weeks we have to be on our own diet? I just hope the weight I've lost I can manage to keep off until that first fill.

good luck to you.

well i am having that same concerns. I am planning on trying to do mostly liquids if possible until my first fill. I have already gained 1.5lbs....and i am nervous.

good luck

EVERYONE is different but it took about 4 or 5 fills for me before I had good restriction. I also was very hungry after surgery and thought that I had wasted my time and money on the band. Just hang in there and you will get to your "sweet spot".

Today I have had so many fills and unfills that I can't really remember how many fills I have had. I was up to 6.5 in my 10cc band but had a unfill because of gallbladder troubles. Had my GB out and was put back up to 5cc and that was too much so I am now down to 4cc and doing great. Who knows? This band of ours has a mind of it's own!!

Just hang in there it will get better!!! :girl_hug:
