Does anyone know the answer?

It's driving me nuts, my port hurts. Typically every day in the evening my port hurts. I thought at first I was eating to much but now I don't think that is it. I am a year post op. Why do I have port pain?

The only time mine has ever bothered me is when I have eaten too much. I was banded June 8th and have had a few instances when it has been sensitive and the only thing I can attribute it to is that I had eaten too much. At no other time has it bothered me, I wouldn't even know it was there except now that I have lost 70 lbs I can feel it when bathing.

My port is low (near and to the right of my belly button). I find if I have done intense exercise, or lots of strenous work I will get sore in my port area. Basically, anything that involves abdominal work can make me sore. I'm hoping to outgrow it.

Are you wearing pants with a waistband?

My port was quite sensitive for about the first year. Wearing a waistband or sitting bent at the waist for very long really agrivated it.

Your scars itch like all getout because they are healing. The itching about drove me to scratch myself raw/bloody. Then I found the BEST cream in the world. Genes Vitamin E Creme. It has 100,000 IU of Vitamin E. It also has Vitamin D and collagen. It's thick and very rich in emollients. A 1 lb tub is $12.99 and it lasts a long time (a little dab does a lot of moisturizing. You can order it online at http://www.genesvitamine.com. I have also seen it at Sams Club.
