Just came from doc. As soon as I mentioned the gurgling the PA gave me a prescription for an Upper GI series. Could just be too tight or could mean slippage. UGH My principal is gonna love this if I need revision surgery. He is suck a a$$hole.

They unfilled me b/c I was having reflux. I did not have the noises before that. I am annoyed b/c I was losing really well too. I have been on all types of meds/steroids since the unfill and have been eating horribly. I go today and am afraid to mention the gurgling.....

??'s I always forget to ask the Dr...

The soda will most likely have to go. Once in a blue moon I will steal a sip from my niece who yells at me. LOL As for the lifting I was told to "use caution" for 6 weeks. I milked that the whole time and had my sister do my laundry since machines are in basement. TEE-HEE The other thing I had to watch was my school bag. I gets very heavy. I had students or my carpool buddy carry it for a bout 2 weeks. Best of luck as you begin your lap-band ride. -
NSV, my favorite so far.

The cutie I see in the deli most mornings winked at me a while back and now he always says, "Hi". He even tooted at me from his truck last week. I found out his name is Rich. Not from him, but one of the other guys he works with said his name the other day. He is pretty young though. He is my pretend BF, since my real BF would not like it. LOL -

Excellent. Waiting for that to happen to me. Been years since someone took a second look. (Unless you count the toothless homeless man who asked me to marry him.) LOL -
Taking your clothes in at the sides
TracyNYC replied to WrenBird's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have had some stuff taken in. I need new pants for work desperately. My smallest old stuff (18) are getting too big. (yipee) Just not worth taking those in. I wish I could sew. The alterations get expensive too. Ready to try a thrift store next. -
I like Sun Chips Garden Salsa. Only indulge once in a while as I have no will power over them.

Removing Fill for Tonsilectomy
TracyNYC replied to breesue's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So interesting. Being on this site has really made me understand that there are so many different methods of treatment that the whole second opinion thing is REALLY important. Best of luck with the tonsils. -
Removing Fill for Tonsilectomy

Is the reason because of N and V? or is there a 'medical' purpose too? Just curious. -
The little things you noticed about your weight loss
TracyNYC replied to WrenBird's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too have been able to wrap a towel around me and also was wondering what was jabbing me in bed and realized it was a hip bone..... -
It is all these seemingly little things that make it worth it. My biggest cheerleaders have been my students. Some know about surgery, but most just know I have lost weight. My boyfriend has been great too. We are long distance right now, so when we get together he really sees it. I was at the movies with my 2 friends a few weeks ago and as we are all "big" I usually feel squished. I was in the middle and felt very comfortable and my thighs did not spill into the others' chairs. Yeah!!!

This band is going to cost us a fortune...
TracyNYC replied to spoiltmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That is a great idea. I know the Pandora charms can be quite expensive. I stay away from those. LOL I wish I were more crafty. -

It is a charm bracelet that has many, many types of charms. The charms screw onto the bracelet instead of dangle. Though they do have some dangling ones. Right now I have a heart and 2 birthstone charms:Mine and my boyfriend's. I have my eye on a book charm (English Teacher and there is an adorable ghost too. If you google it, you can see all the charms. the website Eve's Addiction has good knock offs too. -

I am so broke now and need new clothes so badly. My HS students started making remarks that I need some "new sexy jeans", and I should get my belly button pierced. (not likely) LOL I did the bracelet thing too. When I hit 50 lbs. I bought a Pandora bracelet and promised myself a charm for each 10. I owe myself 1 charm. Need Lotto or a rich man. LOL -
My NSV: My fat belts now need extra holes put in them as they are too big even on the smallest hole. This leads to another NSV, my 16 and 18 pants are too big in the waist, thus the belt. Love reading these.

Does anyone else have days like this!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
TracyNYC replied to Princess_Gottalose's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just don't have the resolve to stay ON THE WAGON 24/7. I have had a rough time since my last "un fill" and since then I have been on meds and a steroid. I have gained 3 lbs and am ticked off at myself. I go through this every once in a while and then pick myself up and get it together. I need a fill for sure, but need to get my head back in the game. -
AWESOME!!!!! 2 hour workout? when you are sick? You are my idol.

Very interesting.....Food for thought....so to speak

Vitamin Water Zero
TracyNYC replied to MrsFitand42's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I love zero vitamin water. My PA had no problems with it. I realize the 'vitamin' part is a selling point and not factual. BTW they are on sale 10 for $10 at Target. I just came from there. -
If one more person tells me about the friend of a friend they know who had WLS and the person failed at it or gained it all back I will smack them. I was thinking about it. Imagine walking up to someone who was diagnosed with cancer and they choose treatment. Then imagine someone walking up to them and discussing all the people they have ever heard of who died or "failed" their treatment process.. Next time I am at a wedding, I will walk up to the couple and spout divorce statistics. LOL Just venting.....LOL

Found this recipe while searching recipes options for the cauliflower. Of course it needs some tweaking and subbing of FF and RF items, but looked interesting: Cauliflower Mac and cheese Casserole Recipe : : food Network

I was inspired to bite the bullet and try mashed cauliflower. I cheated and bought the steamer frozen kind. I mashed in mini chopper w/ some RF sour cream. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it. I think I need a better food processor as it still had some pieces in it and was not smooth. My question is am I expecting too much from the cauliflower? Is it supposed to be creamier? I read on some low-carb sites that people add some instant flakes (low carb type) for texture. Any suggestions????TX

200 lbs. in a year? Damn! be patient with your band. I am frustrated with it too at times. I don't know much about the sleeve, but opted for the band b/c it was the least invasive at the time. Discuss it with your surgeon, and see what he/she says.

What an ordeal. I have no words of wisdom. Just wishing you luck.
