  1. I'm also being banded on Monday, I'm feeling the "what if's" too!

  2. I am feeling the same thing! Being banded Monday as well
  3. Yum! I love cabbage and this just sounds delicious. I can't wait to try it, thanks!
  4. From reading your responses on a couple threads I had a good laugh. Sometimes you have to remember you're not always dealing with intelligent or open-minded people ;) and they don't want to be helped. They'd rather have someone sugar coat it and hug afterwards or something. Anyway, have a great night!

  5. That is great! You'll have to share your experience! :)

  6. Hey there Carollee :) I'm so excited for you! I've been contemplating this seriously for about a year, thinking about it for 4 years.

  7. No you're not, I'm getting banded on the 31st I went out to get some more broth and Jello today and then I'll wait until Sunday to finish up preparing what I need at the hospital. I'm the first one of the day, checking in at 5am. It feels very surreal right now.
  8. You look great! Very inspiring as I struggle during my last few days pre-op. I lived in Anaheim until I was 10 :)

  9. I love how my friend calls my lap band surgery my lap dance surgery. :-)

  10. This will be my last weekend before the band and I'm so ready! Monday, hurry up!

Surgery and Day 1 post op

Sounds like the surgery went well. The meds part though, how rude! I wish all doctors wouldn't assume you're an addict until proven innocent. Why be in pain? I had one doctor who believed in that and nothing "bad" happened to me. Anyway, hope you feel yourself soon!
  12. I like it, love it even. It really has to be done "correctly" otherwise you will be one of those people who says it's hurts, no way, blah blah blah. It does reach the Gspot easier and yes, being taboo adds to the fun. You have to be able to relax and in no way does it feel like passing a bowel movement. To say that is to say the vagina would feel like giving birth! The first time I tried it I hated it, but then I looked into it and now I crave it

    ......BEFORE PICS.....BIG SIGH

I know exactly what you mean! The day I got my date (1/31/11) I was having cold feet and I looked at the pics I was in earlier that day and all doubt was removed

    make up?

I agree, going in to have it done helps. I splurge on certain items, know where to save on others. For powder or foundation, I like MAC or Clinique. Be sure to get your color matched professionally though, nothing worse than looking like a pumpkin or ghost . I like a kohl eyeliner, Rimmel makes an excellent one and it's cheap. I love MAC/Urban Decay eyeshadow because of the pretty and quality pigments that go a long way just by using a little. My lips I play down, and just use Nivea Milk and Honey. Most of all, just "practice" at home, think of your face as the canvas I usually do my friend's makeup when we go out and it's a lot of fun. Oh, and choose one to play up, never do 2 features at once.

    Cold Feet

I had cold feet too. Then later that day I saw pictures my husband took that day while we were out and all doubt was gone.
  17. Same here! You have it easier Shakes and broth/jello only here. The goal is to shrink the liver to make surgery easier and to view your anatomy better. My nutritionist also said this way there is more compliance with the diet haha
  18. They have messed mine up before, but when you called the Tricare 800 number they change it over the phone, no big deal. Good luck, I hope you get it!
  19. That sounds like an awesome year! I am being banded 1/31/11 I am focusing on self improvement as well and my step 1 is the band too! Thanks for sharing, it was fun to read.
  20. Mine was about 39 but I have type 1 diabetes. My PCM doesn't give you the referall for the surgeon if you don't qualify, I'm not sure if they are all the same. So where are you guys stationed? I'm at Fairchild. Oh, the process went really fast too! I was done with everything and scheduled for surgery in less than 3 months.
