  2. After the two weigh ins will Aetna then approve you?
  3. Keep me posted!!! I hope all gets straightened out.
  4. Has anyone tried this and if so what are your thought about it?
  5. Best wishes hope all goes well.
  6. Did they give you any indication as why?
  7. Thank you! I am gonna have to check that out.
  8. The waiting will go by pretty quick. I started my journey back in April and I just go my approval on 8/23. I am scheduled for surgery in October. I had to go to the surgeons office for an initial appt, then a nutritionist, then PCP 4 times for weigh ins and to discuss diet and exercise, then get approval from psych before anything could be submitted to ins. Once submitted was denied twice through Cigna, then finally approved from second peer to peer. Hang in there...it will go by quick.
  9. Hey Mary. I have gotten my surgery date which is October 10th. I am super excited!!! Can't wait to get to the other side. :-)
  10. Hi everyone! Just got word today that I will be banded on October 10. I have to go see my doctor once more, give more blood and go sit in a lapband class all prior to surgery. I am so excited. Any other October bandsters?
  11. Congrats I am still waiting for surgery scheduler to call me back with date. I also have to take a class per hospital requirements prior to surgery.
  12. I meant to say bloodwork.
  13. Cigna denied me twice, denied the peer to peer then finally approved with bloodworm and extra documentation from PCP. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
  14. Marcycusa29... I hope you get your approval soon as well!!!!
  15. World market also carried them too.
  16. Congrats and welcome! On this site you will find alot of informative information. Everyone here is very supportive as well. Good luck on starting your journey....I just got approved today.
  17. So today I received great news. I was APPROVED. I am so happy. The approval process took a good month or so to get. Now I am waiting to hear back from the surgery scheduler to see when my surgery will be. K was td it will be between September and November. I will keep you informed and thanks to everyone for all the kind words and support.
  18. Update on insurance through Cigna. After peer to peer review was denied ins said that they wanted another visit with PCP and letter from doctor. Found out from PCP I now have hyperlipidemia and am pre diabetic. So doctors office resubmitted forms on Friday to the original reviewer who denied it. Geez, I am so overwhelmed and frightened at the same time. Good luck everyone else who is in the same boat as me.
  19. I also have Cigna. When my paperwork was submitted I was denied twice. My doctor then had to do a peer to peer review and now they requested extra documentation so that was submitted on Friday of last week. I hope everything goes through ok so I can really begin my journey with the help of the band. I think with Cigna it all depends on the the reviewer is. Hope all goes well. Good luck. I will keep my fingers crossed for us both.
  20. Awesome job! Congrats and keep up the good work!
  21. Okay so I just found out with Cigna will consider hbp A comorbidity as long as it is uncontrolled with medication. In my case it is controlled so I did blood work to see if I can get approved another way. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this will all work out in the end.
  22. Same here. Thank you so much for listening and being supportive. I will update after I leave doctors in the morning. :-)
