  1. Candra, I'd love it if you'd do that! She'll also know if I'm up for visitors or too Zombie'd out! Thank you all for being so kind and generous with your well wishes.

Carol, I'm so very sorry to read this. I hope you heal quickly so that everything else can fall into place for you. In the end, it will all work out perfectly and you'll get your Sleeve.
  3. Lynda, Mary and Denosia Thank you all for thinking of me and wishing me well. I'm very excited. I've spent all night talking to so many friends that called to wish me well. Everything is set and done. The comfy sofa bed is made up for me for when I get home in case I want to sleep in the living room so I can watch Tivo to entertain me. There's really nothing left to do. I finished a light dinner before 6pm, then went down to walk on the treadmill for awhile. I kept thinking.... Last Chance Workout! The reality is that what I was thinking about was how much easier it's going to be without 100 extra pounds. So to everyone that's sending lovely healing energy my way. Thank you!
  4. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!! :lol0:
  5. Do any of you remember my friend Bonnie? She'll be at the meeting tomorrow night and can give you an update. She'll be stopping by my room on the way to the meeting. I hope I'll be up walking so I can give John a hard time! My surgery fee is $100, but it's $500 because I'm being admitted. That's a lot of boots! But then again, without the surgery I'd be spending it on doctor bills. Well worth every penny!
  6. I'm very excited CoCo! I forgot to get anything for dinner. I guess I've eaten compulsively enough in my lifetime. Today I'm eating the few remaining things in my fridge. Nothing fancy, just some nice organic fruit and eggs. Ok John, you're off the hook, but don't go callin me mama!
  7. YAY! Be sure to let us know when you get your date!
  8. Thanks Diane, I really appreciate it!
  9. I'll look for them! If your mom is younger than me, I'm gonna cry.
  10. 10:25 Surgery Time. I know I'll feel the love from all you great people. I love the support around here and the community that we have. Thanks everyone!!
  11. Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah!! I've got a 10:25 surgery time tomorrow morning. I can't wait!! :lol0:
  12. 8:25 arrival 10:25 surgery I knew he'd get to go first!
  13. Great number gang!! CoCo, I'm in an 20 but closing in on 18. Would love a track suit! All I can say is that the Benefiber I had in my crystal light and the MoM are a charm. I'm ready, bring on that surgery! I would do a commercial for Benefiber. This week I've been adding it to Crystal Light and the results are amazing. I highly recommend it. Costco has a big bottle, looks like a 5 year supply, for $19. Good stuff. Now I just have to figure out what to pack for my night or two at the Richmond Fantasy Suites! I hear they have a great nursing staff there.
  14. MellaElla, we're two days apart! We're going to be comparing notes for the next year, celebrating all of the victories along the way. There are several of us all being Sleeved this week. Good luck!!

    Me and water. Why?

I too count all of my fluids. I drink a ton of herbal tea all day long and I count it. I figure it's hydration that the body needs and it doesn't seem to hurt. I plan to do a lot of hydrating after surgery to help my skin's elasticity. For me, that's reason enough to really keep the fluids going. Once I'm home from the hospital, I plan to put 4 oz in a cup every hour and down it before the next hour begins. Once I'm able, I'm going to aim for 8 oz an hour, whether it's Water, crystal light or herbal tea.
  16. Good Morning, MoM went down the hatch before 10am. Working from home now so that I'm close to the bathroom. Why didn't anyone tell me it comes in Cherry! Grrrr... I was gagging. Had to wash it down with some Propel. No nerves here. Just ready to find out what time. I need to pack a few things to take with me tomorrow. Book, iPod etc. I'm ready for it to be tomorrow and to be walking the halls with Johnboy! Have a fun day everyone!
  17. Sarah honey, you're going to do just fine! We'll always be able to say we were sleeve the same week and we'll get to Celebrate our milestones together. Hang in there and don't let your nerves get the best of you. You've thought this through and made the best long term decision for you. The first few days will be over soon enough and the glorious journey will begin. Visualize all the wonderful things you'll be able to do without the weight holding you back. Find your sweetest vision and hold on to it. Take it with you right into the OR. I think I may be walking barefoot down a beach with the sun shining on me. I look fit and gorgeous, wearing white linen flood pants and a white linen tank top. The wind is blowing and my face it turned towards the sun, absorbing the refreshing moment. There's definitely a smile on my face. We're both going to be just fine!
  18. Yay Marie! Welcome to VST. This is the best place around for support and friendship. We're gonna be Sleeve Sisters! I'm sending good energy your way!
  19. Awww Tiffy! Love you too! You're the absolute best. I've followed your journey as I decided which surgery would be best for me. You have inspired me daily in your finding health and joy. JimsBrat is going to post over at OH in the Lightweights Forum when I get out of surgery. At least she will if my friend remembers to call her! Whenever my son and I go on vacation to some far off part of the world, we always count the sleeps until we see each other again. He's coming home from NY Friday night. He's flying out as soon as classes are over on Friday and staying till Tuesday morning. I'm so excited to hear his new adventures. He's the best nurturer and will take great care of me and make it a fun weekend. Love those positive vibes! Keep em coming please.
  20. Oh Goodie, Sleeve Sisters! Good luck to you. Everything is going to go swimmingly well for both of us!
