Has anyone taken the PrevPac?
Something you may not know, it will always be detected in your blood now. They have two different tests to ensure its gone one is to blow in to a tube (breath test) the other is not as pleaseant. #2 in a vial and they test that. My doc told my I was gonna kill him, he had me do the not so pleasant then when I was done told me of the breath test. The other is more accurate.

I am doing well. Twinserly, I too have the rolling hicaburp pain in the chest going on. That is the most misserable part right know. I had my surgery @ 1:15 and was given the option of staying over in the Hospital. Since we had a 4.5 hour drive at night in Elk country we decided to stay at the hospital. Every one was so nice to us. Oncwe I got home I took it easy, walking every hour and using the sperometer regular. Today I feel real good, still a few pains here and tehre and do not want to exert to much energy as I can still tell some one was in my tummy. The best thing was the I was able to go back to protien shakes yesterday. That really helped with the healing and getting to know my band. I must have some restriction as I can feel an uncomfortable pain when i have to much. Thanks for asking how I am, it means alot, Wayno Editted to add: My tongue is numb! It has been since surgery, just the right side, but still numb! An unfortunate side effect?

I love my mother-in-law, but...
She probably doesnt know it bothers you. If you let her know that it bothers you when she asks I am sure the question will stop. We get so worried about trying not to hurt other peoples feelings that we forget its O.K. to communicate our own feelings. So just let her know that it bothers you but as you hit milestones you will tell her. That should keep her close to you yet stop the nagging question every tiem you see her.

The many faces of Sleep Apnea
I took some pics with the mask on and after careful consideration decided this thread was silly and I shouldnt have started it! It looks horrible! My original thought was to take some funny pics, you know, working out with it on, driving in the car with it on, and the like. But heck no! The only one that gets to see me with the birth control mask on is my wife! Oh yea, lets talk about trying to talk with it on. I sound like stinkin darth vader with the air rushing out of my mouth while I am trying to talk! Its all kinda funny, still trying to get used to it and get the right mask. Have a good weekend all, Wayno:thumbup:

UHC denial - please help!!!
There is a guy on here that goes by btriegr, I think he lost 90lbs on the 6 month diet and was just banded. The time will go by so fast, I started back in October and March 4th was my last visit. You have alot of test to complete prior to surgery so the 6 months will give you time to get it done. Good luck on your journey:thumbup:

Boston dude
Congrats on making the decision! I too made the decision back in October, the time will pass very quickly. You touched on some of the emotional aspects of weight gain and weight loss, I have read many great trheads on this subject here. They really opened my eyes to the person I have become and to the road that I am about to travel. Good luck on your journey and dont be a stranger. :frown:
