    Happy New Year.... Congratulation you have all made it into my 2011 yr. My sister called me this morning and said, "Fawn, try to do better this yr than last." I have to and I will. For the first two days of the year I am on a liquid diet... Trying to cleanse my body from the old year. Getting focus on the new. want to start from feeling free, and lite.. lol.

    Christmas is now over... For those that don't have a membership to a gym... You really should think about getting one. I got on for Christmas and I am happy. I said, I would never go into a gym and I really like it. I'm full figured and thats OK. Girls, I'm turning there heads...... LOL. Now that the New Years is very close. What are some of your plans? And lets think outside that box. I know that we want to loose weight.... For me, I want to start putting myself first. and be more healthier. What about you?
     
  3. I got the Lap band on August 19th 2009. The reason why I got it is because, On October 16th 2008 I was let go from my job, where I've been at for 9+yrs. I felt like I needed a life changing, change. I've been big all my life and I need and wanted something new. So, I decided to get the lap band. The first 4 months went good.... But as time went on my confidence got lower and lower. I couldn't find a job and I stopped caring.... As time went on not caring turned into something more, I was depressed for a long time. Couldn't sleep and feed started to be my friend again. I thought I was back on track in July. After a year and a half I found a job.... But that turned into bad news. My boss was a nasty person and she made it hard for me to do my job as well as she wanted me to. So after 90 days she let me go. It hurt but I wasn't going to let her win.
    Now that Christmas has rolled its ugly head around, I'm faced with the fact that without a job, my kids won't have what they really want. So I left them no that this year is, hard on me and in time Christmas will be substituted for another day. See every day its hard to get back on track when my life just sucks right now. Its been a year and almost four months since my surgery. I went to the Dr. 2 months ago, and when I got on the scale I was disappointed. I failed..... And it made me not care when the Dr. just rolled his eyes at me. When I'm feeling disappointed and to see him roll his eyes at me. It made me feel like whats the use of trying. He doesn't no what I've been through in the past year and a half.
    I'm trying to keep my head up...... Because I no the sun will shine bright on me. My one goal is to lose 100 pounds and I will do it....

    Hi all... Question, how do you get past a hump? I've maintain the same weight for the past month and a half... Am I trying too hard? I walk every day anywhere from and hour to a hour and a half... Am I doing something wrong? Help anyone..........

    I went to the doctor to get a fill, and she wouldn't do it.. I've been maintaining the same weight for the past 2 visits. I'm at a stand still. She was tell me about shrinking my stomach. By going on a liquid diet for 2 days... By doing that, your stomach will get smaller. Did anyone here about that?..... I want to do it but I want to hear from other people that have done it.... Does it work..

    A week ago, I was eating bkf. scrambled eggs on wheat bread. I was half way when I realized that my chest was hurting. "Call me crazy". but I had forgotten that I had the lap band done. I was thinking that something was really wrong. I was going to go to the hospital.. All I could say was What is that. What's wrong with me..... After about 5min. It went away... I realized that it was restriction... I am so crazy at times.. I just have to laugh at myself.......
  7. I want to start off by saying I went to the Dr's and I lost 5.2 pounds.. "Yes"... Today was, (is) my birthday and It was not too good. I spent my birthday sitting at the hair salon for 7hr. My sister asked me to take her goddaughter there and I didn't realize that I was going to be there all G**D*** day. Do you not no that I ate so many cookies, that I stopped counting after 10... I was under a lot of stress. It was post to be my birthday and in my eyes it wasn't... I was mad. I think I gained all 5.2 pounds back plus some.. People pray for me... :cursing:

    For the past week I have been writing everything down that I put in my mouth.. It is a good idea, for anyone that is having a problem with control issues. I really don't no how to count calories yet... But I do want to start soon. When I look back at what I eat, That's how I try to change my eating habits for the next day.. And that is a Plus... any idea to how to count calories properly..

    :biggrin: Today I went to the Doctors to be filled... I got on the scale and DAMN... I gained 3 pounds. My mouth dropped and I was so upset. All the way home I was upset. It might not be a lot, but to me it is. Thanksgiving did me in....
    3 pounds.... WOW!!!!! :wink2:

    I've recieved my 3rd fill, I think I'm doing good. It seems like every month I loose about 4-5 pounds. I want to do better than that. I want to loose 19lbs in 3wks. I no that may seem crazy, but I'm going to try. My 1st target weight is 300lbs. And I am 19lbs from that. Am I pushing myself too hard?????

    This might sound crazy but, my man friend I've been with for 9+ years. Says, if I loose too much weight, he will leave me. What is the problem with this. Just because I want to look better and feel better about myself. Why do men think that we will change. I've talked to several lap band women about this and almost half say their men say the same-thing.... Whats up with this?.... :biggrin:

    I received my 2nd fill on Tuesday the 13th. I felt the restriction, but now 4 days later I don't feel it. I talked to my doctor and she told me that I should eat my meats first and than my food, because the meat will full you up faster. Is that True?..... Maybe I'm not eating enough meat to make me full.. :wink2:
