love / weight

This might sound crazy but, my man friend I've been with for 9+ years. Says, if I loose too much weight, he will leave me. What is the problem with this. Just because I want to look better and feel better about myself. Why do men think that we will change. I've talked to several lap band women about this and almost half say their men say the same-thing.... Whats up with this?....

I think it could be several things. Personal preferrance, it may be hard for us to understand, but some are attracted to a bigger sized person. Insecurity maybe....

Sorry to hear about your man friend. Have you asked him why he feels that way?

My husband has told me that he is happy that I am doing something to better my health, but he's afraid I might want someone else after the weight is gone. I tired to reassure him this will not happen. We have been married for 33 years.

there are some men that are attracted to larger women, you have to ask yourself if its worth it in the end. I've learned in the end its all about ME..and the every ME out there. We aren't doing this for no one else but us and our health....Good luck to you!
