You are a true inspiration Austindoll! Hope to do as good as you. I was banded on Dec 7th and I have lost 22 lbs so far. Did your time go by quickly, or slowly? I feel like time is dragging by so slowly and I can't wait to get to the finish line. Take care hon! You look great!

I did for a while have to make myself go to the bathroom and drink/eat. It gets better! My throat was sore for days too, and it was almost as if I had a sinus infection...sorry, TMI and gross... Take care hon!!!

Hello all my December Delights! For those who have been recently banded...did your surgeon put the band in, unfilled? I'm just curious....mine put my band in that way. It has a little water in it, but not even close to 1cc. Were/are you able to eat pretty good on a pureed stage? I just feel like food and liquids are going down like normal...not stopping in the little pouch.... =/

Pureed Foods...What's good, what's not?

I'm almost two weeks out and I will be able to eat pureed next week, starting Tuesday. Any suggestions on pureed foods? Does anyone have a list that that go by? I would greatly appreciate your help! My biggest and only craving I have had are eggs...lol What kinds of cheeses are you guys able to eat? I guess I am just ready to move on to purees...is that bad?? Thanks guys and girls! -

Hey Becca, you were in the chat room recently and asked about shoulder pain. I was banded on December 7th. I had shoulder pain and it's normal. A lot of us have it and it usually goes away in about two weeks. It's from the gas they put in your body to help them do the surgery. I'm sorry for your discomforts! It gets better. Congrats on your surgery!!

When I met my husband - I was always afraid that he wouldn't like me because I was overweight...however, he told me once upon a time that if he can hug me and he in turn hugs himself because I'm so thin that something is wrong...BUT four years later of wonderful marriage...I told him I was unhappy with my weight...he loves me for me and he wants me to be happy. In October of this year I told him I was going to get LAP-BAND surgery no matter what he thought..lol He was happy for me and even though I told him I may get "skinny" he didn't care. He said, "I am in love with you. No matter how small you get, you will always be my wife!" I am now banded as of December 7th, and couldn't be happier. We're both happy. -

I got my band on December the 7th!! Doing good so far. I have lost 17lbs! I am so excited about this journey! For those who are getting it or just got it within the last few hours or day or so, it gets better! Hold your head high and think of the road ahead. The pain goes away and as you walk daily, you'll notice a huge difference. It will be as if you never had surgery...lol :thumbup: Take care all!!! Hope to see "less of you"! :thumbup:

Hello all, I am getting banded on December 7th, and I am just curious to see how much you guys have lost per month or week. I am pretty sure it's impossible to lose 20lbs a month, right? That would be about 5lbs a week and that's probably too much? Not sure where I'm going with these questions...and I know everyone is different. Just trying to get a real feel on how everyone did after their surgery. Thanks! :thumbup: -

Hey J Mae, I work in the radio business and I have a few vacation days, a personal day, and a little bit of overtime left to take off my week. I'm hoping it goes quickly!! I've been scheduled for December 7th! :smile2: As far as questions go, the only one I have a problem with and haven't asked yet is what to do about birth control...not sure if I have to quit taking it before and after and when to start back. lol I hear ya...they don't know what women go through emotionally with weight. ESPECIALLY if they are the size they are supposed to be. I'm so glad he looks at you the same as always. I'm praying mine will too! He loves my "ghetto booty", but he'll get over it when it's gone...lol

What did your husband say after you lost all the weight? Was he supportive? Mine seems like he will be happy that I am happy. He weighs about 150lbs, tall and athletic build...and then he married the blob. lol
