i saw the dr. on friday he said it is not my port. it is a VERY large blood clot.(i thought the large lump i was feeling was my port) they gave me the blood thiner shot the day i had the band put in but somtimes it does not work and it sure as hell did not work on me.. it is the size of a orange.. i have to put hot water on it to try and break it up!!!

ok so i call the dr again today, they said that it is a Haematoma not a blood clot. that i have to wait for my body to heal...it is still as large as the other day and i thought a

Haematoma was the same as a blood clot but they said no.

OMG, It's a hematoma. It's when a vein bursts under the skin. I had one "VAY DOWN THERE" after I gave birth to my first daughter. I lost a ton of blood requiring a few transfusions. I know this is an old post, but I hope they took care of it. For me, I had to have surgery to find the vein and repair it. It hurt like a SOB too. OUCH.
