Got results from Upper GI today. Slight sliding hyaital hernia. Not a bad one though. No sign of reflux.

Have date for Upper GI already, it's Thursday August 31 @7:45 AM. Now I also have my dates for meeting, September 12, 2006 @ 6-8 PM. My Nutritionist is September 12, at 4:00 PM in Boston at BWH. On September 25 is my appt. with Surgeon Dr. Robinson at Falkner Hospital at 1:30 PM. Still waiting for Psych. to call with appt. for clearance. Dr. Laxer called on the 28th to say she would fax info from my chart to Dr. Robinson. :biggrin1:

gonnabethin-Yes I have seen that video 2 times. It did help alot. What Dr. Did you have. What insurance did you have. kelly930-thank you for your reply. I have already met with my doc. and have already scheduled my nutritionist and info. meeting. Hopefully insurance approves fast. What insurance do you have.

I am beginning to get scared that nobody is answering my question about having Lap Band done in Brigham and Womans Hospital. HELP

Hello, was wondering if anyone has had the LapBand done at Brigham and WOmens in Boston MA. I will be getting it doe and would like to know if anyone has had it done there. I have seen Dr. Robinson. Any one???

Went to B&WH and met with Dr. Robertson and team. Were very nice. Was told I have BMI of 43 or so. Weight 286. Have to go back in 4-5 weeks. Have to attend meeting, meet with psycho, and with the dietician. Then I'll have to get Upper GI done locally. I then go back to see Dr. Robertson and go from there. Hopefully when insurance gets approved, I'll get a date for my surgery:angel::cool:

Called Dr.'s office to see if it is manditory, secretary at Dr. Malcom Robinsons' office said to come in on Friday, Aug 25 for an appt to meet with the surgeon and see what he says. Where are you having the procedure done

I am looking into the procedure at Brighams, what is the process for the entire lapband procedure, from 1st appt to last. I want this as quick as possible. Also what insurance do you have.

I am new and will be attending my first meeting on Tuesday. I am not banded yet, and are in the beginning stages of my journey. I live in Tiverton, RI. I will be getting it done at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston. Any info???I have Aetna for Insurance. Any help to make this journey easy.

Hello I am new. Have been thinking abour LapBand for about 4 months or so. Have enjoyed reading all your comments. If anyone can help me out so that this goes smooth for me I would appreciate it. I have a BMI of around 45, have about 140 lbs. to loose. I have been overweight all of my adult life, i am 33 years old. I have been heavy since I was 12 or so. I need to get healthy. Have tried everything from diets to starving myself. Just keep gaining more back. I am determined to get LapBand. I am attending a seminar on Tuesday at Brighams and Womans Hospital in Boston, MA. Any one go there. I have Aetna Insurance. Any help there??? What should I expect. I really want this to happen ASAP.

Hello, I am new.... Have been very interested in the LapBand. Been investigating for about 4 months now. Am very sure this is what I want. I have Aetna HMO and my insurance says it coveres with approval. I am covered thru MA live in RI. I am looking into Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston, MA. Any body have any info they can give me on the hospital, insurance, procedure, what to expect.....I want the surgery ASAP..... I am attending the meeting at BWH on Tuesday evening. Wonder what to expect. Can anyone help.
