I record it and won't start watching until it is at least half through. That way I can skip the commercials and the stupid personal crap.

I find it even crazier that you took the time to reply to somebody here about some word you spell some way. Don't take it personally. I'm sure you are not the only person that spells that word that way. If so, it wouldn't have been interesting enough for its own thread. -
HB, You left out the nipple piercing. CLJ, PB stands for "productive burp". Basically belching up undigested food. I can't wait to get banded so I can do it and talk it about it in detail.

Is crock pot food supposed to be bland?

I did google and I guess I picked the wrong one to try. It is where I got the water from. -
Is crock pot food supposed to be bland?
btrieger replied to btrieger's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thanks!! I will try and find it. I am not the type to follow recipes to the T but it will get me off to a better start than today. If I don't add water will everything still cook evenly? -
My surgeon is David Kim. He airs local TV commercials. I was shopping around and he was the first I went with. I love the staff in his office. They are knowledgeable and have been nothing but helpful. I was supposed to have a date on January 6th but my cardiologist didn't not cross all of his Ts and dot his Is. Hopefully I will hear sometime this week. I am planning on surgery being early February. I'm dropping weight in preparation as well. I want the lapband to be my safety net. So, I don't put it back on...again

And a talented writer. It takes a lot to put your thoughts into words that everyone will understand.

I am in Keller, between downtown Fort Worth and the Texas Motor Speedway. I am also waiting on insurance. It looks like you've already dropped more than a hundred pounds in advance. Congrats!! I'll race you to 200. Good luck!

I have not had surgery yet but have done plenty of research in advance. I answered your questions as well as I could. You will receive differing opinions and that will help you with weighing your options.

I think she is referring to this "medical" thread where you had no objections to sperm being refered to as man juice; swimmers or jizz. A VERY strange (possibly offensive) question. ***read at your own risk...*** - LAP-BAND

Pre-op Diet - Weight Loss
btrieger replied to DodgerFan's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It could also be the time of day that you weighed yourself or using 2 different scales. I only expect to drop 6-8 pounds in my two week pre-op because I have modified my eating habits. -
Now that you are chewing your food more thoroughally...

I could live without ever eating a steak but don't you dare tell me that the band ruins scallops. Those succulent, sweet, expensive mollusks are in my top 10, perhaps 5 foods. I bought a pound of sea scallops last night and ate all of them. Once banded, I am hoping to at least enjoy a half pound of them on occasion. -
Smitten, you can tell your own story here or read many others. There is a blogging section on this site. It is not as organized and as easy to navigate as Linda's but there are some good ones there as well. The "BLOG" link is in the top left, next to "HOME". LAP-BAND

And ponies, we can't forget those disgusting ponies -
Catherine, You just don't get it. I compared something as beautiful and delicate as a sticky, gooey, bloody mess with cute little ponies and snow white cotton. I am so ashamed.

Welcome! Congrats on the weight loss and good luck with the fill.

About to lose it... can't wait for fill!!
btrieger replied to SwanGal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Guilty as charged as far as abrasive goes but I would call it being frank. I treat everybody the way that I would like to be treated. Don't beat around the bush, patronize me or offer pity. Just give me the facts if you know them or your honest opinion. Fills do NOT trigger weight loss. The consumption of less calories is what trigger the loss. Even if the fill is what makes you consume less, it is not what causes the weight loss. It may just be semantics but some people don't seem to get the whole concept. And lastly, I'm not even newly banded yet. :w00t: -
I am outside of either realm and won't vote for a candidate in either major party. I've been called conservative because I don't want the government giving my tax dollar to any lazy yahoo that begs for it. Yet I donate plenty to charity. I've been called liberal because I think gays should have the same rights that straights do and because I think a woman should have the right to abort an unwanted pregnancy. Yet, I don't think my tax dollar should pay for either.
-
TN, I don't think you can split people into only 2 groups based on their ideologies. If I had to think narrow-mindedly and choose either conservative or liberal, I would definitely choose conservative. A liberal would expect the government to take the 1,200 kids shopping on my tax dollar.

It kills me and I am a high school drop-out! I try to look past it but I can't. -
What everyone else said plus: You have to take supplements for the rest of your life with bypass. Bypass is not reversible. The fatality rate, although small is more than times greater with bypass. You can always have bypass later if the band doesn't work for you. Good luck and remember the final decision is yours, not some doctor.

The age limit when I was in basic training in 1982 was 36 but that was a long time ago. Jen will definitely know if she comes back by this way.

Are you a man, a woman or something else?

The great thing about penis envy is that you don't have to be schooled to recognize it.
