  4. Sorry I am just seeing this message. I am not completely sure yet. I went to the seminar and they said I have been accepted into the program and they don't see any reason why I wouldn't be so I think I have been approved.

I get my bloodwork done on the 8th and then meet the surgeon on the 18th. I find out then what all I have to do before the surgery. I am really praying that I will have the surgery in Jan but we will have to see.

I have Tricare Prime so not sure what if anything I will have to pay but compared to my old insurance, Healthkeepers plus, what you have paid isn't bad at all.

How has it been since your surgery?

    Hi!

I was just wondering if you ever heard back from Tricare? Were you approved or denied? Hopefully approved! Which Tricare do you have? I have Tricare prime remote. I just had surgery and so far all I've paid out of pocket is maybe $200. My actual surgery was only 25 bucks!

    Maybe i can help :)

I posted a question on here earlier today regarding tricare prime (north) about the way they calculate the 200% over ideal weight. I have seen on here were triwest just adds 100 pounds to the ideal weight on the weight chart but someone else said they double the ideal weight. Do you by any chance know how they calculate it? thanks
  7. Just wondering if anyone knows how Tricare Prime north calculates the 200% body weight. I saw a link on here for Triwest but haven't been able to find any for Tricare north. If anyone has the link that would be great or has used it. Thank you so much.
  8. I have been accepted into the program. What does this mean? she said I have to attend a introduction and a support group and they will tell me from there what is going to happen. I am so confused, does this mean Tricare approved for me to get the surgery or just that I can have an appt? I am going through the hosp on post and I have Tricare Prime, hubby is active duty. I can't bring my kids to either appt and I don't know anyone here. I hope hubby can get off a little early to watch the kids. yikes.
  9. Oh thank you ladies for your encouraging words. They haven't cqlled yet to sch my first appt and I am going crazy waiting. I feel so much better now though. I wish I could get it before oct 1st but doubt I would be so lucky. I would go tomorrow if they let me. Lol I will keep everyone updated. Wow 27 pounds is great!!
  10. Thanks. Guess I am nervous because I don't have any other problems. I wish they would call already. Lol
  11. Ok I admit I haven't read all 16 pages but wanted to see if anyone has any experience similar to mine. I just got my pcm to ref me today and she seemed to think I wouldn't qualify. I am 100 pounds overweight and have had spinal fusion surgery and been dx with arthiritis in my lower back. I do not have diabetes or high blood pressure. I am so scared I will get turned down. Does anyone know if it is an automatic turn down? It does state severe arthritis but not sure what would classify as severe. Please someone help I really want this. Thanks
  12. Hi! My name is Tanya and I have Tricare. I was wondering if anyone knew if I would be approved. I am 5'3 and weigh 242. I had spinal fusion surgery 2 yrs and have arthritis in my lower back. Does anyone know if it sounds like I qualify. I am really nervous because I want this soooo bad. I got my referral from my pcm today but she didn't think I would qualify. Help please. Thank you!
