  1. Yes! See another surgeon now! Find the best in your area and find out if its too late to revise! I hate my band and can't wait to be sleeved.
  2. Dr. Michaelson at Northwest Weight Loss Surgery. Best of the best.
  3. I wish I could do it in one go! I'm sure it'll go great!! Do you know what bougie he's using?
  4. Try chicken or veggie dogs
  5. You'll get your band removed and heal for atleast 3 months... Then get sleeved. This made me feel a lot better about a revision! I currently am in the same boat as you... Finding the perfect doctor and trying to let go of the "size of the bougie" fear though.
  6. You guys are awesome! Wine threads are a safe haven
  7. Really? It seems like 34-38 do better than 40+ bougies. Just my observation. I'm a revision (ugh!) so I'm worried I may need tighter because I have a big appetite, I eat and can eat more 2 mins later and feel like I never ate. So it's not food choices it's volume for me. Just researching, I'm SO scared this wont work for me like my band. Sigh.
  8. Start at curves, join the y or other gym when you're ready to kick it up a notch!!
  9. I also assume white wine is easier on the stomach? Compared to red or hard liquor?
  10. No matter what type of surgery there are ALWAYS people who disobey post op guidelines and rules. It drives surgeons crazy. On the bright side I can say that some people I assumed would do terrible end up doing fantastic... And sometimes the perfect patients end up breaking rules and regretting it. I truly believe aftercare is a MUST, including mental counseling. Intense counseling.
  11. What size of sleeve are you? It's great you can handle one glass of wine, I often read people can't handle even half!
  12. Fiddle man: who is your doc? I'm in Seattle as well!
  13. Congrats! What size of sleeve are you?
  14. Wow, I had no idea local surgeons went that small!!! No I am waiting to find the right surgeon for me.
  15. Shawn: what size of sleeve??
  16. Make sure you have 25k in a savings account to get the damn thing out and get sleeved. Band works for some, not most. And the some really struggle. It's sad.
  17. Who is everyone's surgeon? Any idea what size bougie they used??
  18. Love this! Thank you for sharing! I will subscribe, please update often!!
  19. I say this in the nicest way possible, get some therapy! It'll help you! And more importantly your long term success with weight loss. Hang in there... The weight WILL come off but to keep it off get some mental help. I wish I had done that but now I'm starting all over again. Btw I admire your husband for his service!
  20. I can't believe people still argue over religion. Your beliefs don't make you a better person, your behavior does.
  21. Once you tell, you can't untell. I would just leave it. I barely told anyone I had a Lapband- so glad I didn't. Now with getting sleeved I plan on keeping it to myself !
  22. That is why I said "personally"... I know some people have had great success with Mexico and had no problems. It is the thought of if something goes wrong, I want to be in the US.
