    For the life of me I keep losing you! For some reason you disapeared on me. If you have your weekly weight loss please send it to me again or I can start with your total. I'm sorry. Don't know what happened.

    I seem to have problems with tracking, If you can please check your name and see if I am on track.

    Please post your weight loss not your current weight, it would surely help in the tracking progress and keep me from having to add and subtract every week. I would truely be at your mercy!

    Example: This week a loss of -2lbs or -5 lbs instead of I weight 213 this week, Thanks for your help in advance, and keep up the awsome work!

  3. Hi September Bandsters,

    Has every-one had their first fill. Had mine on Wednesday evening, 5.5mls in 10ml band. Had my fill at 8 pm and by 11pm could not even swallow my own saliva. Spent a miserable night being sick, and had to return for a de-fill of 1 3/4 mils leaving 3 3/4 in the band. My surgeon assures me that must first fills are between 5-6mls. Does any one ever have trouble with swelling after a fill, I wondered if I should have stuck it out for a bit longer.

    Holly Crap! thats alot of Fluid in your band from what I've heard and had. My doc says no more that 2 ml on the first fill. I'm sure some docs think otherwise but I have restriction with 1.4 I couldnt imagine 4 ml or more, I would PB my lungs!

    bout the fill thing, my doc won't give it unless you stop losing or slow to a crawl. He says if you are losing there is no need to mess with a good thing.


  6. Well Hello Everyone,

    I've been out of town and so sorry for not posting sooner but I was in the woods. I think I have everyone listed, but if I missed anyone please let me know.

    I went for a fill last tuesday and was complaining about my scales and left the doc's office and didnt weigh in!! I know I'm brain dead! I did get a chance to weigh in at my hubbys doc's and I have some great news! According to his scales, since my fill on last Tuesday, I am now 6 lbs lighter. That means 10 lbs for the challenge!!!! and the fill is working very well. I didnt even feel a stick the doc was warning me about when I had it done! Heres to all of you for all your hard work! Yall are wonderful!

  7. Here's the latest ! I must say you guys are doing great. Don't be discourged if you did'nt lose, it will come. I go for the first fill today and will report my weight after that. I'm pissed at my scales so I'm punishing them right now. We will see what the Doc's scales say.

  8. Hello Kiddos,

    Been busy with Family all this weekend. I've been reading all the post and thanks to those that posted their weight loss. I feel for all of you and feel just like most of you when it comes to the amount of food I can eat. I just told my hubby that I had to cut back and eat the right amount of portions.

    Next week is the fill and yes I too am ready.

    Breakfast:2 egg whites with 1 pc of dry wheat toast and 1/2 tsp of picante

    Lunch: tuna salad with low fat mayo and 6 crackers and 2oz of cheese

    Dinner: what I want just very small portions. Things are gettin harder with no restriction.

    Snack: cottage cheese and peaches or pears or maybe a slice of american cheese.

    During the day I drink unsweet tea, Water and crystal light and black coffee (probally too much of it cause I LIKE IT!!)

    I did lose my will and had a chol chip cookie I made, and then spit it out cause I felt guilt sneaking in.

    I do understand each and everyone of you out there, but I do know the decission to have the surgery, was a very personal one, and for whatever reason each of you had for having the surgery, remember it was a good one. Keep the faith, and know you are not alone in this.

    I believe in you, believe in yourself.

    I'm here if you need me.

  10. Today I am going to throw my scales out the window!!!!! The thing has a mind of its own. I think when I'm sleeping it has a conversation with the toilet and scoots in my beedroom beside the bed so it's the first thing I see in the morning and I have no choice but to step on it. I have got to stay off the dang thing. It's calling me everytime I walk by the bathroom!!! I know there is no way in heaven that I can gain 4 lbs and lose 4.5 in one day. Digital scales suck!!!!!


  11. Ok so Im pre fill. Ive been on solids for 1-2 weeks. Soft foods are no problem. I almost hate to eat real food- especially if others are around!! I am still having trouble off and on SLOWING down with eating. If I missed a meal I tend to do worse. If I rush, or dont chew well enough I get this painful mid sternum just above xyphoid. It does pass, and yes Ive cheated and drank to relieve the pain. Anyone else with this and am I correct that chewing and slowing down is causing this?? I FEAR if I dont slow down , chew chew chew this is the precursor to PBing.

    I am exactly like you in this! I do understand. Trust me if you don't slow down and chew, you will PB, tuna isnt so good the second time.


  12. I am lucky to keep down 800 - 1000 calories. My Protein Shakes are 190 each and I usually have 2. One in the morning and then one about 2:30pm. I usually don't eat lunch and at dinner very little (and I have been so hungry, I tend to eat to fast and something will get stuck and I end up pbing it up anyway). 1 to 2 glasses of wine about (200 calories) and not every night. so maybe I am not eating enough?

    thats right you are not getting enough solid food, and the wine has the calories we really don't want. I'm a wine drinker too, but have put it on the back burner for now. Your body thinks its starving and therefore holding on to all your fat. Start eating more and making sure you are getting enough Water (64 oz a day). I was told by my doc not to drink my Protein at all. Eat it!


  13. Got everyone so far.

    I do think we all go through the same things at different times. The nervousness about surgery, the excitment about loosing. The relief that it finally came, the trouble trying to figure out what to eat or even if we can, and the hunger coming back and not to mention the rediness for a fill. I'm damn glad to know all of you, and it's comforting to know you are all there, just at that moment when I allow myself to believe I'm alone in this you all give me strength.

    Thank you all for your words of wisdom, your eyes scanning my posts and your hearts, because I believe they are all connected.

    Great things are in front of us, and I plan to find out what they are, with you.


  14. Ok here is the revised list as of 6:30 this evening. Good news I have a fill appointment this Thrusday!!! I finally found a doc in San Antonio that will do fills for folks who had the surgery in Mexico! I'm so excited that I don't have to travel to Houston or Dallas. Living in Austin, San Antonio is so much closer. I have'nt been losing much, but that could have to do with not practicing the 10 new eating habits! of course and the portions, but I am working on that. Stay on Track MOM!! Stay on TRACK!

    I do hope everyone had a great weekend and drank all their water! I'm not getting discourged so you guys can't either. Great things are happening!

    I just sent my daily food intake to my doc to see if they can schedule a fill sometime in the future. I still have to wait at least 1 week or more.

  20. Welcome to the group tgjones! I had lost of gas pains all over including the back right side lower rib area. You might want to check with your doc, to be safe. As you said it may be gas.
