Current weight and goal weight? 330, goal is 200 #7. What was your deciding factor for having this surgery? First, I'm tired of feeling stuck. I want to take advantage of everything my life offers and being overweight really holds me back. Second, I want to avoid the health issues that are surely coming my way. #7. Do you have the support of family and friends? Oh, absolutely. Everyone that I've told is very excited for me. My friends even offered to do the pre-op diet with me. #8. Concerns and questions? Nervous about the inherent risk of general anesthesia. I never thought I'd go for an elective surgery, but here I am!
  2. Hello everyone. So glad to find such a thriving online community to "meet" other people going through similar things. I'm getting banded in 1 week and have to admit that I'm feeling kind of jittery about it. My pre-op diet has been going really well and lost 13 pounds in 5 days. Not sure if that's average, it certainly isn't for me! But I mean, come on, who can live on 700 calories a day forever? We'll see what the next 6 days reveal. Other than that, I just have to wait out these nerves until surgery day.
