    Weighing Yourself?

I'm so glad I'm not alone! I have an obsession with the scale. I tell myself I'm only going to weigh myself once a week, but every morning the scale and I greet each other. I can't help it and probably won't stop!!
  2. I just had a fill today and was talking to my doctor about this. While I'm excited to be losing weight, I don't want to end up bald. My hair is really falling out fast, and he told me not to worry, that it's from the rapid weight loss and that it will stop falling out and will grow back. I was told to keep up with my protein and water, also to take Biotin and Zinc. I've been taking these for a month or two and it's still falling out. I'm just trying to be patient. People say they don't notice a difference in my hair but I do. Good luck to you!
  3. I had my 3rd fill on Dec 9, and am due to get my 4th fill on Jan 20. My problem is that I have not lost a single pound since the 9th! Am I in bandster hell? I've already lost 50 of the 100 pounds I need to lose...Any ideas?

how bad is the post op pain?

I remember waking up in recovery and it did hurt. Later on that night, I was thinking that I should be in pain, but I wasn't and that was weird to me. I was uncomfortable with the gas and for me that was the worst part. I only took the pain meds the next day and didn't need it after that. I had to c-sections also, and would go for lap-band surgery again tomorrow because it was a breeze for me. My aunt had it 6 weeks after me and she was in major pain for the first week. I guess that shows that everyone is different. Good luck to you!

    Diabetes & Lab Band

I am Type 2 also and have been banded for 5 weeks now. The night before my surgery I gave myself my insulin shot...for the last time!!! Getting off of insulin was my ultimate goal and the main reason for being banded (plus losing weight is a major plus!) I see my regular doctor in two weeks and am hoping he will at least lower my Metformin and Junivia. So far I have lost about 32 pounds and hope that losing more will help me be normal again!
  6. Hi! I'm getting banded tomorrow, Sept 8. Like others I'm scared and second-guessing this decision, but I know it's the right choice. I'm type II diabetic and even with the pre-op diet my levels are now where they should be. I'm hoping with the surgery I will be off all the meds!! Anyway, I just wanted to say hi!!
