  1. nope, no problems with hiccups, burping out of control, nausea or anything for me. . but lately i've been major dizzy (pass out dizzy) . . been like that for this past month. . thought it would go away, but nope, so on tuesday, i'll discuss with doctor. . .
  2. How frustrating, but you know things happen for a reason. . . always a reason for things. . hang in there, things will fall into place for you and it's all for good. . . good luck with your journey
  3. I think the charts are for those imancipated runway models. . hehehe. . .i'm supposed to weigh 170 at 6'0, but i feel and look good at my now weight whatever it is, (I weigh in on Tuesday, will let y'all know) so my thing is if i lose more good, if not then good. . whatever. . . i'm doing everything right, eating right, drinking fluids (yahoo, i'm up to drinking 77 - 80 oz's per day) love drinking stuff again. . . i'm hyper now and can't sit still, so the exercise isn't a problem either. . . good luck to you Ash, you are doing great and remember you see yourself every day, it's the compliments from others that count. . . my coworkers call me "Noodle" now . . i think it's great!:thumbup1:
  4. yeah linda! Welcome to our side! Things will fall into place soon, just walk lots ok. . .your going to do so great!
  5. Girl you have more chances of dying remaining obese then this surgery! What can i say . . . if you really don't trust your physician then maybe you shouldn't have this surgery. . . i have had 18 major surgeries and have never once thought i would die and leave my family, i trust my surgeon and the Lord in pulling me through each and every one of them. . . you have to rely on your faith and your surgeon. . . it's normal to be afraid, but to think your going to die????? that is bizzare. . . sorry if i sound prickly and mean, i don't mean to but it's the truth. . . good luck, you're going to be ok. . . you'll do well and be there on the loser bench with us next week. . .
  6. Poor Chancie! God bless you sweetie! I have never had favorite foods before the sleeve and now after the sleeve it's worse. . . i really find eating a bother and a major pain in the butt. . . don't want to prepare something that is only 2-4 oz and then have that stupid sliming episode or knot feeling there. . . I'd rather just drink stuff. . . I've had a piece of chocolate, it hurt my tummy . . . so no more of that, i've had a rumball, nope, no good either. . . i've had a piece of cake (very small piece) went down ok, but sat there like a metal weight until i drank something and washed it away. . . had take out, nope, metal weight. . . this can be so boring, but the weight loss is great! I'll even take the hair loss. . .
  7. Well, remember a couple of weeks ago I had the energy from hatese? Had to weed the entire back yard all day long! Well since that time, I've been exhausted and miserable. . . don't feel like eating, drinking, too tired to do anything. . . just want to sleep. . . I go to bed around 8:30 pm and sleep the whole night through til 6am go to work, come home by 6pm and am ready to go to bed again by 8:30. . . this is so dumb. . . i've never felt this way before. . . even eating is dragging me down. . . I even take a 1 hour nap at work during my lunch time. . . NEVER DID THAT BEFORE! i go to the doctor next tuesday, will find out whats going on at that time. . . goodness this is so not like me :svengo:. . . . anyone else have/had this problem? No I'm not depressed. . . I feel physically exhausted.
  8. Thanks Tracy! Yeah carb watching is tough, I thought that i would never do carbs again after this surgery. . . yeah right. .SOMEONE: lately i've been wanting SOMETHING to eat, but haven't figured out what it is yet. . . anyone else have this weirdness occuring. . .i haven't done anything about it however, cause i don't know. . . i ask myself what it may be that i want but haven't put my finger on it yet. . . all i know it's driving me nuts. . . and it's not carbs, proteins, fats, or anything. . . its not chocolate, nuts, seeds, veggies, fruits, or bread. . .it's not stuff to drink, I go through a list of stuff, but nothing. . . what should i do???? I've been guzzling water, poweraid, and SF crystals. . . its not thirst. . . ?????? so very weird. . .maybe i'm lacking in a vitamin. . .(good lord, after taking about 8-10 vitamins a day you'd think this wouldn't be the issue)
  9. Prayers sent. . . may the lord keep you and hold you, may he shine his face upon you during your time of grief . . .i'm sorry to hear about your dad. . .
  10. What a horrible comment to say. . . that was totally unprofessional! I was sleeved by the most sweetest physician ever here in San Antonio. . the office staff is very professional and they will call you back regarding your questions. . . but to answer your question myself, after i had the surgery i DID NOT have any headaches regarding hunger again. . .you won't really experience hunger the way you do now, it's more like pressure, but that comes after the swelling and stuff is over. . . in the first 1 1/2 weeks i lost 32 lbs and then at 7 weeks i had lost 53 lbs. . .i'll weigh in only at the doctor appts and have another appt on the 16th. I know that the weight loss has slowed down drastically but my attitude toward it is whatever! I look really good at the weight i'm at right now so whatever happens happens. . .good luck in your journey and if your interested in more information on my doctor just let me know, he does have his own website. . .
  11. That happened to me too, so know what? I had my chocolate and guess what? I didn't gain back into my former self! OOOOHHHH it was sooo yummy:drool5:. . .after i had that piece of chocolate i never had a craving again for it. . .so i don't think it's bad at all. . .i've even had a rumball the other day and still didn't turn into a troll:blink:. . . as long as it's not a everyday occurence i don't see the harm. . .
  12. Congratulations! I'm happy for you! Let me tell you girl, that eloping will solve all those family issues and arguements that's for sure. . and who needs all that extra stress! the thing is it's you and your love and that is all that matters. . .The wedding is really only for friends and family anyhow. . .good luck and the best to you and yours!:biggrin0:
  13. Ok guys and gals. . . here is my tidbit of advice! CHEW YOUR FOOD AND DON'T GULP IT! I made the big mistake this weekend of eating a piece of chicken way too fast and not chewing it well enough (old habits don't die) MY GOD, i was in such pain, I thought for sure i was going to die. . .thought for sure i needed to go to the ER! the sliming was horrible. . . then i forced myself to puke and felt better. . . felt way better after about 30 minutes, but was way too afraid to eat anything anymore. . . the next day was so much better! I'll always chew very well, wait my 2 minutes between bites and eat only baby bites of food. . . good luck!
  14. Good luck to you all! You'll do well. . . don't panic, it's scary but that's about it. . remember where you are now, and were you'll be by Christmas time! Looking fine! So whats scary now will be joyful and great later! Keep us posted!
  15. me too, sleeved, don't have any regrets except when i eat too fast or don't chew well and have the pain from hell along with the slimes. . . then i really regret it. . .or should i say, regret not doing the chewing thing right. . . would i do it again, yup sure would. . .
  16. What are our % supposed to be anyhow folks????? Carbs < 30 % ; proteins 60 - 80 grams; fats????? does that sound about right??? if the carb count is supposed to be <30% that is really tough. . .
  17. I look at it this way, if your feeling comfortable and fuzzy with your soon to be surgeon and you can talk openly and freely to him/her, then you've chosen wisely. . .I did that and in my own opinion, I think I did good in chosing my surgeon. . . I was very happy with him and haven't had any problems whatsoever. . . good luck on your journey!
  18. Welcome! What type of pointing in the right direction do you need? I was sleeved on Dec 29th and have done pretty well. . . anything we can help you with, we are happy to do. . . we are all here for you whenever you need us. . . just ask away and your sure to get a variety of answers. . . Good luck and once again WELCOME!!!!
  19. Most definately you will have that full feeling once you start on mushies/solids. . .actually if you even take "just one more bite" you'll get that "I ate too much" feeling and be uncomfortable. . . you'll learn, it's all a learning process. . . I'm about 10 weeks out and am still learning. . .tummy sure does let you know if you eat too fast, don't chew well enough or had enough. . . very interesting, annoying, but interesting. . . good luck!
  20. hahaha, I was like that. . . eating SF popsicles and they must be really good for you because that is what they gave you in the hospital! So I ate these things with a passion. . . now i hate them, ate too many, never did think about the carbs in there though. . . after all they were SF right???? hahahaha aren't we silly?????
  21. You'll do great! The pain is minimal, just make sure you walk, walk, walk. . .can't stress that enough, you'll do great. . the hyst for me was alot worse, this is like more of an annoying pain, not a "Oh my God, I'm dying" pain. . . take your meds, walk, and you'll be fine. . . good luck we'll all be thinking about you. . . check in when you can!
  22. Your doctor is quite right, those with higher BMI's and more weight to lose will lose more than those with lower BMI's and less weight to lose. . .don't be discouraged, like the previous post said, "slow and steady wins the race" You don't want to lose too fast. . . yes I lost lots of weight in the first 7 weeks, but now it's slowed down to a screeching halt. . . but i'm not frustrated. . at least i'm not weighing 332 anymore and that makes me happy. . . so now that i'm in the 270's ( I don't weigh myself, only at doctor appts) i'm a happy camper and to me it's a whatever progress from here on out now . I look good and I feel good, im into 1 XL's from 4XL, so if the weight wants to come off good for it, if not, good for it too. . . i'm doing what i'm supposed to and that is all that counts. . . i've never weighed less then 250 (I wear size 14/16 at that weight), so if i lose that 20 extra pounds horray for me, if I lose more, we'll deal with it. . . good luck on your journey ! :001_smile:
  23. I had a rumball today and it was so good, no guilt here! I'm glad it had it. . . now i won't have that craving ever again!
  24. Bless your heart. . . try to stay at least 2 days. . . at least that. . . but if not, be careful honey ok? Take care of yourself. . .
