11/5/2010 - It's been 3.5 months and I've lost 51 pounds! WOO HOO! Now, let's just double that and I'll be a very happy woman! Sending love and lots of good wishes to everyone!

Hi Beautiful! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I just spent 8 days in hospital. My L5 ruptured - still have piece of disc/bone floating around spine but have been able to avoid back surgery so far. Amazing how the body is! YEAH!! for you for working with advocacy group - nothing more rewarding in the world than helping others see their own potential and offering people the tools to make their worlds better. Hi Beautiful! I haven't been on here in forever! Work is INSANE. I have been in trials every week since I returned and have a trial every week until week before Xmas - then a two week break and back in trial! I'm down 38 pounds since my surgery July 19 and people are starting to notice which makes me feel good. I just joined the gym and so am mustering my courage to not feel bad as a fluffy girl there. Self esteem issues eh? How are you? Sending hugs! Elizabeth

Laughing out loud my beautiful friend! I just told my love last night that I am definitely not bringing sexy backwith all the hiccups and burps! Trying to go slow to see if that helps and it does a little but, oh my goodness! I hope and pray it doesn't happen in the middle of meeting or even worse in the middle of testifying! I think I might die on the spot! I have my fill a couple of days before you so I'll let you know the scoop. I asked the doctor if it hurt and he laughed - not so reassuring but, I suppose in the scheme of things it can't be that bad! Sending you lots of good energy! Hugs! Elizabeth

Hi My Band Twin! I haven't been here in a while and just wanted to pop in and see how you are doing. I had my two week follow up yesterday and have lost 21 lbs. I was shocked but happy. I go back to work Monday! Back to the life of fighting crime! LOL I hope and pray you are doing well. Big hugs & blessings~Elizabeth

Your message made me smile. My mom said this morning that Lap Band site has been a God send and she is so correct. I've gained more wisdom and insight from the amazing women here. It is always that way in my life I think - the most profound insights come from other women. I am so glad that you, my lap band twin, are feeling better. I, too, had the whole dizziness experience and just feeling exhausted which of course, does not gel with my personality and I was kicking myself in the butt. I decided or am still trying to just learn to listen to my physical self from a different place. Even learning to listen when full means stop is a new process. I had some gogurt yesterday which was my new found best friend! LOL just to keep something down made me happy. A year from now we will be prancing around much thinner Goddesses and it will all be worth it.
