Hey Loveslady, Everything went well for me. I only have one incision! So I am really happy about that. I am pretty sore though I think most of it is gas pain. My liquid pain medicine is so nasty I try not to take it it makes me naesous. One thing I have noticed is that it is really sore when i take a deep breath. Is anybody else experiencing that? -

I am wanting a last supper soooo bad!!! :thumbup: My doctor has me on clear liquids for the 3 days before surgery!! i am so over it. How much weight has everyone lost on there preop diets. I have lost about 10lbs.....I am so nervous that I haven't lost enough. I think i am just paranoid! i don't want anything to keep me form getting this surgery! I am soooo for all of us!!:mad2: -

3 more days!! the 17th is the big day! I am so excited.. Just a little nervous just because I have never had surgery before. I have lost about 9-10lbs on liquids I feel like that is not enough. I have 3 days of clear liquids now so maybe that will help. Good luck to everybody having surgery the next couple days and congrats to all that have been banded! I can't wait to be a part of the bandsters! -

Ok so this liquid diet is no fun. All of the sweet shakes are just not working for me.:blushing: I mean is it really ok for me to just have soup all the time. Does anyone have any suggestions for a full liquid diet that does not include sweet shakes. -

The dietician that I saw said the carnation instant breakfast (sugar free) shakes are good. THe didn't really push the protien shakes. Cream of chicken,tomato, and types of soups like that. Im sure I will get sick of all this of it at some point : ) But It will be worth it! I hope I helped some! Good Luck! -

We need to keep in touch. Liquids hasn't been too bad today but I think 10 day will be a little tough. what type of shakes are you doing? Any suggestions? -

Hi everyone! THis site has been so great! I start my preop diet today. I am getting banded on the 17th. 10 more days!!! I can't wait. I love reading how everybody is doing. I am going to take all of the advice I have seen on here. I am going shopping today. Congratulations to everyone who has been banded already! Yall make me more excited everyday!!!! -
Hey Kimberlyann,
I am really nervous also but I am going to do it. I have decided I am tired of struggling with this. None of your local doctors have any financing options. I was fortunate enough to have my insurance cover it. I hope everything works out for you! Please keep me posted.
