  1. Hello,

I was banded in July 2009.  I have been UP & DOWN in my weight loss.  I am military so therefore I have seen 3 different surgeons. :(  In August 2016 I under went cosmetic surgery  (Full Tummy Tuck) My doctor has suggested that I have a revision and convert to the sleeve but I am Petrified as I had complications with my TT procedure.  Has ANYONE had the sleeve after going through a Full Tummy Tuck????  PLEASE HELP WITH ADVICE...

There have been people before that had done so. They didn't have problems. If your surgeon recommends the revision, it's probably a good idea. Ultimately the bariatric procedures usually have easier recoveries than tummy tucks.

  5. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. Surgery date I was 270 and im currently 238 with a goal of 170-180 in mind. Very similar. I next appt is scheduled for Tues. 3/30/10 so I'll see how that goes. I will most definitely keep you posted. Take care..

  6. Hello Tracy,

I know how you are feeling but you are doing great! I had surgery on 7/14/2009 and have gone from 265 to 232 with a goal of 160-170 in mind. This journey is by no means easy but just think where you might be had you not decided to take this journey. I hope when you get your fill things will get better. Keep in touch ;-).

  7. Omg... It went awful. I was looking so forward to my visit and my doctor hooked me up with his new assist. I didn't get a fill afterall. So im rescheduled for another appt on tues the 30th. I haven't loss any weight. Going to my hometown "san diego" this week for a long weekend and i hope that goes well. Thanks for the check up. How about you? How's your progress?

  8. Hello Tracy,

I am doing well but am still awaiting to complete the six month monitored diet by my doc. My next appointment is tomorrow which will make 3 completed sessions. I am praying to be approved around the 1st of June. I still have a little time left, but am already making a lot of changes on my own. Thank God I am still losing weight slowly on my own. I really think it is more inches than anything. I can really tell the difference in my clothes. I made myself a promise that I was not going to purchase any more clothes until my old ones were too big to wear. I will keep you posted on my lap band status.

How is everything going with you? Is your weight lost going the way you hope it to be? I pray everything is going well with you.

  9. Hi Tracy, are you feeling better? How did it go at the doctor office? For me the weight came of slow in the beginning but after fills it started to pick up a little.

Thank You for your well wishes :^)

  12. Hello Ms. Chaval. Congrats on your surgery. Hope your doing well with your post op. The hardest issue I had within the first week was the gas passing through. Very painful . Good Luck!!

  13. Hello Shonette,

Congrats on surgery. Hope your doing well with your post op. I think the hardest issue for me in the 1st week was the gas passing through. Very painful. Good luck!!

  14. Welcome Tracysscott,

I really don't have any personal input about your weight lost solution. However, I wanted to welcome you to the site. I am still awaiting my approval to be banded. I have read a lot of different experiences from other band members, and they have remarked about stepping up their game with food choices and putting the time in to work out. Another thing I have read was having your water throughout the day was another biggy. I hope you find the solution(s) you are looking for. Good luck.

  15. Hello. Ladies. I am very thankful that I found this Social Group. I was banded July 27, 2009. starting weight was 270 current weight is 239 and my goal weight is 180. I am feeling a bit discouraged these days. The weight just is not coming off fast enough and working out is a struggle. I would love to hear from someone that may have experienced these feelings as well.
