  1. I was wondering...tried to find you on fb too

  2. No dates yet. Surgery one, band removal, should be within the next 2 weeks, I hope. Surgery two, the sleeve, will hopefully be over my Christmas break so I can recover without having to miss work. I really liked that he wanted to do my revision in 2 procedures to lower my risk of leaks/complications. I'll post when I get my dates nailed down.

  3. He wants to revise me in 2 surgeries. The first one will just remove the band and then after several weeks, we will do the sleeve. The in between time will be for my stomach to heal and strengthen from the stretch I have now. I am comfortable with that and would rather do what will be best for me with the lowest chance of complications. They are pretty positive that insurance will cover the removal and maybe even the sleeve. I was planning to self pay, but hey, if they'll pay, I'll take it. Hopefully the first surgery will be in the next week or so and then the other during my "winter" (Christmas) break from school.

What are your thoughts after the seminar? I really liked Dr. Nick. My mother went with me and he took time to explain to her what was going on and why we needed 2 procedures, etc. I was impressed.

    Talk to you soon.

  4. Linda-

My name is Anna and we may have traded posts on a forum thread a while back. Anyway, I went to Dr. Nick's seminar on Wednesday night and really liked him. I had my consultation with him yesterday (Friday) and have decided to go with him as my surgeon. I am a revision patient and decided to use a surgeon close to home instead on Mexico. Part of my choice to even consider changing surgeons was your comments about your great experience with him. Thanks for sharing.
