  1. Hey lady. Well you look great and your hard work shows! Isn't spin class the best?! Love it. I love my protein shakes. Doc told me that maybe I should lay off them a bit since they go right through the band, but I know I'm not getting a lot of protein and nutrients otherwise, so I'm sticking with it if nothing else, for that. He said just ot make sure I eat protein at every meal, but sometimes I dont and either way, I'm not getting enough in me. One meal wont kill me. He said the same, he said it just doesnt do anything to fill me and thats why he doesnt suggest protein shakes. Each doc is diff. He tells me so may diff things than my original surgeon did (he moved). I think every body is different and you have to find what works for you. Glad to hear you're doing well :)

  2. Hey there. Thanks for the compliments! You are too kind. I'm having a harder time in my stomach area with excess skin (my lower belly); however, I do have a kid, so that may have something to do with it also. I have a friend on here that we banded around the same weight and same body shape and she pretty much has a 6 pack (she has few months on me though...hehe). Also, I've noticed a little around my knee (bottom of my thigh), which my legs have always been a major trouble area for me.

So, when is the big day for you? Having lapband surgery is the best decision I've ever made for myself!

  3. Congrats on getting below 200! Isnt it an amazing feeling?!?! What have you been doing?

  4. hey thanks for the pic comment! You are gorgeous! You are going to be KILLER when you start dropping the pounds. Good luck. Keep me updated.

  5. Hey there...congrats on getting your surgery done. Best decision I've ever made for myself. A lot of people have been asking me about my diet and workout so I wrote a blog about it. Please check out my page for that and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Good luck.

  6. Hey there. Thanks for the compliment! Trying to drop another 30lbs by 7/22 when I leave for Vegas. :) I've been working REAL hard. Have you been banded already? What are your stats?

  7. Excuses excuses, I dont want to hear it! :)

I'm good...trying to shake a few pounds. I feel like I've hit a plateau. Plateau = no good

  8. Hey there! So you're having your first consultation? It's a long process, girl, but do NOT get discouraged. It will be the best thing that has ever happened to you and totally worth the time and effort. I love my band and cant imagine I would have gotten this far without it. Don't get me wrong, I work hard to, but it was the push I needed. Good luck and keep me posted.

  9. Hey there. Thanks for the compliment!!! 7 months ago I never thought I would be anyone to give any type of workout or dietary advice. As I progress on my journey, more have asked what it is that I do, eat, etc. Therefore, I wrote a blog to detail what it is I've been doing to help myself. I'm not an expert and learn as I go along, but so far so good. I'm happy with my progress, but there is always someone who lost more or is doing more, so its a learning process for us all. Check out my blog and feel free to email me with any questions you have afterwards. Good luck on YOUR journey!

  10. Hey there. Thanks for the pic comment and I think you are being really generous by saying the word "toned." lol. I wouldn't consider myself there yet...I'm headed in the right direction though. yay. Not to impersonalize it, but I have been getting more questions about what I eat, how I work out, etc. It's crazy for me to think that about 7 months ago, I was the LAST person anyone would think to ask for any sort of health/workout advice. Anyway, I wrote a blog that details a little of what I've been doing to get to where I am now. Please check it out. If you have any more questions after that, feel free to message me. Congrats on your weight loss! I'm going to send you a friend request on here.

  11. I look like a stalker. Almost all your visitor messages are from me...lol!

  12. LOL...and what is "girl of go"? Sorry, dont get it. As for Chicago...I grew up in a very Italian neighborhood. Most people think I am Itlian...especially once they hear me talk. To each their own. Not my fault my mom never taught me. :P

  13. Me no hablo espanol. In engish por favor. Muchos gracias. :)

  14. Hey girl. Thanks for the pic comments...those are both old pictures...pretty much in my beginning stages of being banded. I still go out and have drinks with my friends, for sure. I dont drink anything with carbonation (i miss my beer, vodka/tonics and jagerbombs), so I usually stick with straight Patron (bad news) or vodka, lemonade with a splash of cranberry. Depending on where I go, sometimes I get a vodka water and bring my own mix (like those to go packets) because the lemonade can have a lot of sugar.

  15. Hey girl. Thanks for you comment on my blog. Everyone is different and adjusts to the band different ways. Keep a positive attitude and let the Band serve as a tool to help you lose the weight. It's not going to take it all off for ya, you have to put in the work too. :) I joined a gym about a month after getting banded and have been full force since then. Good luck on your journey...keep me updated!

  16. Hi Bell. Thanks for your comments on my blog. I started working out a littl bit about 2 weeks post surgery. Just doing small things like going for long walks. About a month afterwards, I joined a gym and started working out more frequently. I had a workout buddy in the beginning, so that made it easier. She has stopped going as often, but I still work out all the time; however, having her in the beginning helped give me the push I need.

  17. Thanks for your comment on my blog!!! Good luck on your journey. Let's stay in touch. :)

  18. It's called being impatient. :) I'm from Chicago...aka other side of the world.

  19. Thanks. I wish it would come off faster!!! I'm ready to be skinny like yesterday. Haha. I know, I know, that's not the healthiest way, but I'm getting there. I work out a lot, so I guess I'm doing it the healthier way. So Anaheim huh? Might as well be on the other end of the world...oh yeah, you are. :)

  20. Hey now, I only speak the truth. You're doing really good. I'm almost 6 months out and down about 75. I feel great! So where are you from?

  21. You look amazing. I saw your new pics. So inspirational!! You go girl. :)

  22. Hey there...thanks for the compliment. You're not so bad yourself...hubba hubba. :) When were you banded? How are you doing so far?

  23. Hi Sharon. Thank you for the compliment! Having the lapband is the best decision I've ever made for myself. As my pounds start to shed, I've been getting more questions as to what I've been doing, so I decided to write a blog about my journey thus far. Please visit my page to check it out and if you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks again and good luck on your journey!
