  1. Excuses excuses, I dont want to hear it! :)

I'm good...trying to shake a few pounds. I feel like I've hit a plateau. Plateau = no good

  2. Hey there. Thanks for the compliments! You are too kind. I'm having a harder time in my stomach area with excess skin (my lower belly); however, I do have a kid, so that may have something to do with it also. I have a friend on here that we banded around the same weight and same body shape and she pretty much has a 6 pack (she has few months on me though...hehe). Also, I've noticed a little around my knee (bottom of my thigh), which my legs have always been a major trouble area for me.

So, when is the big day for you? Having lapband surgery is the best decision I've ever made for myself!

  3. As long as your adjusting well. I think my body took to it pretty smoothly. I'm down about 41 pounds in a little over 2 months (8/27/09). So, progress has been good. This week I had a rough time keeping food down. I think something was stuck, but am much better now. Oh, the sacrifices we make. You have to keep posting pics so we can see progress.

  4. awe, thank you...what an honor to be looked at as a role model. It's been a lot of hard work, but I feel great and healthy and have so much more energy. I love my band. When is the big day?

  5. Awe, thanks for your comment! It's comments like those that keep me motivated. I still have a bit to go, but I'm proof that if I can do it, anyone can! :) Good luck

  6. Congrats on getting below 200! Isnt it an amazing feeling?!?! What have you been doing?

  7. Damn you's a sexy b*tch :) Love ya twin

  8. Don't lose hope, girl, it CAN be done. In order to achieve maximum results, its not just about the diet. There's only so much the band can help you with. Exercise is key. Also, take lots of pics. It really helps you see your progression and keeps you focused. It also made me feel like I was holding myself accountable since I would take a pic a month of my progress.

  9. Girl, you know my life is full of madness, especially on the weekends and especially now that I have tons of things to plan...moving...wedding...etc. I'll be close to you soon though...probably by end of summer. Then for sure we will have to hang more.

  10. Hahaha, thanks for your pic comment. People carry their weight diff. My gf is the same weight as me and looks much thinner. Do what works best for me. I still have 25 pounds to goal! Struggling to break my plateau and get there. Good luck on your journey!

  11. Having LB surgery is best decision I've ever made for myself. Good luck! Keep me updated...

  12. Hey girl, congrats and welcome to your new life! There is a long road ahead, but with some hard work and focus, I'm sure you will do great! Keep me posted on how your feeling and your progress.

  13. Hey girl, I see you are still trying to decide about having the surgery. I just have to tell you, it's the best decision I've EVER mad for myself. Today is my bandiversary and with a lot of hard work and dedication, I've lost 115 lbs this past year. I started out at 285 and am down to 170. Check out my page. This is a decision I promise you will not regret.

  14. hey girl, i was just looking at your profile too! you look amazing even without the band! that dorothy pic is super hot! ur gonna be dangerous when u get banded....look out!

  15. Hey girl, keep your head up! I remember I was in a lot of pain the first couple of days as well, but it will get better soon, I promise! each day is better than the last...and it is TOTALLY worth it! Getting the band is the best decision I've ever made for myself!!! Good luck and keep me posted on your progress.

  16. Hey girl. Thanks for the pic comments...those are both old pictures...pretty much in my beginning stages of being banded. I still go out and have drinks with my friends, for sure. I dont drink anything with carbonation (i miss my beer, vodka/tonics and jagerbombs), so I usually stick with straight Patron (bad news) or vodka, lemonade with a splash of cranberry. Depending on where I go, sometimes I get a vodka water and bring my own mix (like those to go packets) because the lemonade can have a lot of sugar.

  17. Hey girl. Thanks for the compliment. When is the big day for you?

  18. Hey girl. Thanks for you comment on my blog. Everyone is different and adjusts to the band different ways. Keep a positive attitude and let the Band serve as a tool to help you lose the weight. It's not going to take it all off for ya, you have to put in the work too. :) I joined a gym about a month after getting banded and have been full force since then. Good luck on your journey...keep me updated!

  19. Hey gorgeous! How are you feeling after your surgery?? Took me about 4 days to get back into the swing of things...I bet the weight is just falling off huh? Don't forget, you have to suffer for your beauty. :) It gets better.

  20. Hey lady. Thank you so much for the compliment. It means more to me than I think you realize. Posting pics make me feel like I'm being held accountable and it's pretty awesome to look back and see how I've come. I'm in the bottom stretch now...20 pounds to go until my goal!

  21. Hey lady. Well you look great and your hard work shows! Isn't spin class the best?! Love it. I love my protein shakes. Doc told me that maybe I should lay off them a bit since they go right through the band, but I know I'm not getting a lot of protein and nutrients otherwise, so I'm sticking with it if nothing else, for that. He said just ot make sure I eat protein at every meal, but sometimes I dont and either way, I'm not getting enough in me. One meal wont kill me. He said the same, he said it just doesnt do anything to fill me and thats why he doesnt suggest protein shakes. Each doc is diff. He tells me so may diff things than my original surgeon did (he moved). I think every body is different and you have to find what works for you. Glad to hear you're doing well :)

  22. Hey lady. Well, there's bad news and good news. The bad news is, you really do have to work out if you want to see results faster. I know you can lose some just by diet alone, but working out speeds along the process and helps prevent the saggy skin. Also, there's only so far the band will take you on it's own. The good news is, as the weight starts to fall of (and it will), it gets easier and easier to work out. Never in my life did I think I would be able to run a mile, yet alone 3-5 miles (that's where I'm at now). To answer your other questions, I was banded in Chicago.

  23. Hey love. Hmmm, some snacks that I eat - I like the protein bars by Special K or Atkins. They are a little high in calories, but it is full of protein and other good nutrients. Some low cal snacks are pickles, cucumbers, celery (I can't really have a lot of these though). Ooh, one i do a lot while I'm at work is sunflower seeds cuz it keeps my mouth busy. Hope that helps. 13 pounds more til 100 lost!!!!

  24. Hey now, I only speak the truth. You're doing really good. I'm almost 6 months out and down about 75. I feel great! So where are you from?

  25. Hey stranger....how has the band been going for you? Want to see some recent pics!!
