  1. Hey, thanks for the compliments. Not to impersonalize it, but recently I've been asked my workout/diet so I wrote a blog about what I've been doing. I'm not expert, I can only say what's been working for me. Check it out and let me know if you have any questions!

  2. Hi there. Awe so glad there is someone from Chicago!!! I havent really met anyone else from here. There is one other girl from the area, but we have yet to actually meet. So exciting. So, my doctor was Dr. Rohrscheib and he had office out of the Watertower Center in downtown Chicago, but he now is only out of Carbondale which is wayyyy too far, so I was referred to Dr. Shayani in Bollingbrook. Will probably be moving out close to Oak Brook, so I may need a referral fromyou of your doctor. You're going to be banded in May? So exciting!!!!

  3. Hey love. Hmmm, some snacks that I eat - I like the protein bars by Special K or Atkins. They are a little high in calories, but it is full of protein and other good nutrients. Some low cal snacks are pickles, cucumbers, celery (I can't really have a lot of these though). Ooh, one i do a lot while I'm at work is sunflower seeds cuz it keeps my mouth busy. Hope that helps. 13 pounds more til 100 lost!!!!

  4. Thanks for the photo comment! Hard work, girl, hard work! I'm 5'6

  5. Hey girl. Thanks for the compliment. When is the big day for you?

  6. Thanks for the compliment. Having this procedure was the best decision I've ever made for myself. You should be psyched!

  7. Thanks for the compliment. I do work out a lot. I try for 5-6 days a week (a mixture of cardio and weights and 1 day with a trainer), but i usually winds up being 3-4. Depends on what I have going on during the week. I wrote a blog on what my diet/exercise is like, so if you're interested, check it out. I'm by no means an expert, just detail what has worked for me thus far. Good luck on your journey!

  8. That is so wonderful to hear!!! Anything is possible. It's been a lot of hard work and self discipline, but I love my band. Best decision I've ever made for myself. :)

  9. I've been getting lots of compliments on the suit :) It's actually from Walmart $20 :)

  12. Thanks for the compliment. I'm about 5'6

  13. Hey lady. Well you look great and your hard work shows! Isn't spin class the best?! Love it. I love my protein shakes. Doc told me that maybe I should lay off them a bit since they go right through the band, but I know I'm not getting a lot of protein and nutrients otherwise, so I'm sticking with it if nothing else, for that. He said just ot make sure I eat protein at every meal, but sometimes I dont and either way, I'm not getting enough in me. One meal wont kill me. He said the same, he said it just doesnt do anything to fill me and thats why he doesnt suggest protein shakes. Each doc is diff. He tells me so may diff things than my original surgeon did (he moved). I think every body is different and you have to find what works for you. Glad to hear you're doing well :)

  14. Hey there. Thanks for the compliments! You are too kind. I'm having a harder time in my stomach area with excess skin (my lower belly); however, I do have a kid, so that may have something to do with it also. I have a friend on here that we banded around the same weight and same body shape and she pretty much has a 6 pack (she has few months on me though...hehe). Also, I've noticed a little around my knee (bottom of my thigh), which my legs have always been a major trouble area for me.

So, when is the big day for you? Having lapband surgery is the best decision I've ever made for myself!

  15. Congrats on getting below 200! Isnt it an amazing feeling?!?! What have you been doing?

  17. Hey there...congrats on getting your surgery done. Best decision I've ever made for myself. A lot of people have been asking me about my diet and workout so I wrote a blog about it. Please check out my page for that and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Good luck.

  18. Hey there. Thanks for the compliment! Trying to drop another 30lbs by 7/22 when I leave for Vegas. :) I've been working REAL hard. Have you been banded already? What are your stats?

  19. Excuses excuses, I dont want to hear it! :)

I'm good...trying to shake a few pounds. I feel like I've hit a plateau. Plateau = no good

  20. Hey there! So you're having your first consultation? It's a long process, girl, but do NOT get discouraged. It will be the best thing that has ever happened to you and totally worth the time and effort. I love my band and cant imagine I would have gotten this far without it. Don't get me wrong, I work hard to, but it was the push I needed. Good luck and keep me posted.

  21. Hey there. Thanks for the compliment!!! 7 months ago I never thought I would be anyone to give any type of workout or dietary advice. As I progress on my journey, more have asked what it is that I do, eat, etc. Therefore, I wrote a blog to detail what it is I've been doing to help myself. I'm not an expert and learn as I go along, but so far so good. I'm happy with my progress, but there is always someone who lost more or is doing more, so its a learning process for us all. Check out my blog and feel free to email me with any questions you have afterwards. Good luck on YOUR journey!
