  1. So did you wind up getting another fill. I have an appt on Tuesday. I'm nervous because I wanted to be in the 270s and I'm not but oh well. I don't think I have gained any since the last time I was there!

  2. Just checking in! How is the winter treating you. I find it is always harder because I want hearty meals and I hate going outside in the cold. I think if I move somewhere warm I'd drop an extra 20 lbs!

  3. Hey sunshine! How's it going. I love your pic, it makes me think of warmer days now that I am snowed in. Anyway, just wanted to check in and see how things were going. Any progress with the new date?

  4. Hey my slow loser friend! You are looking great and keep up the hard work! I am nearing my 50lb down mark and very excited. Although I started a lot farther out then you. Can't wait to see more of your progress.

  5. Hey my slow loser pal! Just wanted to say keep smiling and you are doing great! You just have to take it one day at a time.

  6. I agree, the cold has definitely put a cramp on my style. I got the wii fit for Christmas so now I have no excuse even if there's a blizzard. Unless of course the power goes out. :) I did find a support group locally and am excited to start attending monthly meetings with them. I have still been stuck on my plateau as well but have refused to get a fill because I know that the fill is not the issue. I realize now that when I couldn't eat and actually had restriction I freaked out a little and was always testing the band because I didn't know what else to do besides eat. I'm working on those demons now. Have you considered seeing a therapist. A few ladies told me that really helps as well.

  7. Hey there! It looks like 29 has been good to you. I saw your progress pictures and you look great. How much have you lost so far? I've been stuck at around 40-45lbs lost for the last few months but the new year has brought with it a new conviction to get past this plateau!

  8. Drinking water is probably only the one rule I follow unconditionally every day. It is a habit I picked up from dance team ten years ago and has stuck ever since. I carry a bottle with me at all times.

  9. Hey J.

I think you did the right thing. You really have to be ready for the surgery and be able to wrap your head around all of the changes that are going to take place. I desperately wanted the surgery and once I jumped through all the hoops my insurance set things went very fast. Now looking back I realize I should have had some more support during those first few months to understand the mental stuff going along with the eating. It really started to sabotage my weightloss but I am back on track now! Keep posting on the board and trust yourself. Just don't let fear get the best of you.

  10. I couldn't not say hi to a twilight lover! Just wanted to say you are doing great with your weight loss! It's very inspiring to watch. I've been a slow loser but being on the boards has helped me refocus for 2010. Good luck!

  11. Just wanted to say congrats on your weight loss. You are looking fabulous. I have been a very slow loser but talking with folks like you who have been so successful keeps me motivated to keep trying. I see you work out a lot. So do I. Do you find it accelerates your weight loss or just causes you to be eat more? Do you take in more protein to accommodate?

  12. Hey there girl! Just wanted to see how you were doing? How did the holidays treat you. Have you made any traction on your weight loss?

  13. I had my surgery on January 22nd 2009. I have been a slow loser, but I have lost 45lbs going from my high of 330 to where I am now 285. I've been stuck here for a while and hoping that being more active on the boards will keep me motivated to push forward. I'm 29 years old and I'd love to chat with more folks my age who had the surgery. I know you're out there!
