    Now that being said. What on a typical day are you eating? Maybe I can help you get on the right track here.

     

    Also your doctor is full of shit, Restrcition is so real! And just so you know.. I didnt have significant weight loss until after fill No 3. So that is something for you to look forward to.

     

    Try and keep your chin up kiddo. It is so possible to gain or not lose if your eating too many slider foods. I made some bad food choices over the memorial day weekend also.

     

    BTW.. You are working out like a champ.. keep that up! DOnt stop. I need to start doing that.

  6. All i did for the first 6mos was walk.. ALOT like 2 to 3miles with my pooch. Everyday! 7days a week. Now I still walk with him, but I do the elliptical trainer 3 times a week. 30 min each time. I have one at home.

     

    Food.. try and stick to protein every meal.. Green vegiies with 2meals. I stayed away from all fruit.. too much sugar even though it was natural sugar.

     

    I cheat a little now.. but for the most part. I stick to alot of Protein..

  7. Even if your up a couple dont get down on yourself.. this next fill will get you back on track.

     

    I dont think I am getting a fill this month..Still have major restriction!

  8. Go to wal mart and buy some 1cup ziplock bowls. Put everything you eat in those, whatever it is. Try to stick to that size.

     

    When you to the reg phase of food, do 4 oz of meat (always eat your protein 1st) then a 1/2 cup of whatever else. Green veggies is your best choice.

    I am like you..losing slowly. Sounds like you are a positve person which is so important! It will happen for us eventually!

  12. Hey there... I never saw this message until now..because you posted it on your page and not mine.. (its okay) I just wanted to apologize for not getting back to you sooner. By the way thanks for the pic comment. :-) I feel so good!

     

    Doc.. Juarez phn number is 602-252-1510. Just call them and find out out when you can attend a seminar since that is your first step.

     

    Doc Juarez's bed side manner is not the greatest. He is however open to any questions..or concerns. I honestly saw him 3 times only. At my pre-op appt, we discussed me having the surgery, he answered my questions, gave me advice, and told me I would be a good candidate for this surgery. Next time was in the hospital right before surgery. 3rd time, at my post op appt. Thats it!

     

    Honestly, my relationship is more with the nurse and M/A at the office. Nurse Andrea, does all your fills, and the M/A schedules appts. They are both really awesome!

  13. Hi Happy! I went to get my 3rd fill on Tuday 1-19-10 And Iam almost at "onderland" Wooo hoooo! I weighed in at 200. Yipeeeeeeeeee!

     

    I wanted to ask you about the biotin. I knowyou weren't sure if it even helped, but my hair is coming out so badly.. How much did you take? I am going to get some today.

    Had my 3rd fill yesterday..My weight 200.8 lbs. I was like DAMN THE DEVIL ALL TO HELL! LOLOLOLOLOLOL!

    I thought for sure I was in "onederland". ALmost.. Almost!

     

    Feeling good..Will post pics soon.. I am so excited!

    Just read your thread. I live in Surprise, AZ and I was banded by Doctor Juarez at St Lukes Hospital. My surgery was approved through my insurance, as well as my after care, so as far as money$ questions, I would not be able to help you with.

     

    However, my experience with my surgeon, and this journey so far, I would be happy to help you. Anything you need to know i can be here for you. Lemme know girl.

     

    I can tell you for sure this is the best deciscion I have ever made in my life! I am seeing results and feeling better than EVER.

  17. Hi. I just read your thread. It sounds to me like you need to have some of the saline taken out of your band. If you feel uncomfortable, and cannot enjoy food, than something is wrong.

     

    I had a really bad weekend last weekend, it started Friday night, i ate a corn tortilla tostada shell, and it got SOOOOOOO stuck, it screwed me up for 3days, everything I ate got stuck. If felt the same way as you.. Like what have I done to myself? I went back to softer foods this week, and I am feeling much better.

     

    Do you mind if I ask? How much have you lost total, to date?

  19. I am glad that you are doing well. Just wear elastic pants for a while until your tummy heals. Try eating creamy potato soups and chew the potato really good, gives you a sense that you actually ate something filling!

     

    This is the hardest part. In a few short weeks, you will be able to eat some mushies, and that helps so much.

    I have some good recipes for you once your ready for the regular food phase.

  21. I just read you thread on " I Hate Fat People." It is very profound and deep on so many levels. There are so many things you shared, that I feel as well. This physcological rollercoaster is not easy.

  23. I probably shouldn't have said your doc is full of it. YIKES I am sorry for saying that.

     

    I just happen to know I feel restriction and it is very real to me. I also feel like he was discouraging you when he told you that restriction isnt real. I mean that is what us bandsters need for weight loss.

     

    As far as diet, and excercise, it sounds like you are doing everything right. I am sure after a few more fills it will start happening. Just try and stay positive. :-)

  25. Just looked at your pics... you are already so pretty. This surgery will change your life! I am very happy for you!

     

    Make sure to get the Gas-X strips before your surgery date and have them on hand. That to me was the worse part..post op. The Trapped gas hurts really bad. It may or may not happen to you.. but just in case. And make sure if it happens to take like 3 or 4 strips at a time.. Read the directions, on the box.. many people only take one thinking it will help, and the directions clearly tell you to take more. Try and walk up and down the halls at home after word.. it really helps!
