  1. Make sure you have some Gas-X Strips on hand for the "trapped gas" Take like 3 to 4 of those, otherwise they dont work. Try and get up and walk as much as possible, it really helps get things moving. LOL

Dont try and lay down flat when you get home, prop your self up in a recliner or on the couch, with pillows.

Get some Papaya Enzymes, for when you start reg. food. They help when you get stuck.

Take before photos (front, back, side) and have someone help with your measurments, so you keep track of your progress.

  2. Go to wal mart and buy some 1cup ziplock bowls. Put everything you eat in those, whatever it is. Try to stick to that size.

When you to the reg phase of food, do 4 oz of meat (always eat your protein 1st) then a 1/2 cup of whatever else. Green veggies is your best choice.

  3. Hi there.. We match... same surgery date.. almost same fill dates..same weight loss.. Glad to see you doing well.

  4. PAPAYA ENZYMES..Walmart by the vitamins, they are for digestive health. It helps in the breaking down of food. They seem to help.

Feeling stuck SUCKS! It feels like your esophugus just closes up, but with food lodged in there, sometimes it wont come up or go down for quit a while! Eventullay it does come (up or down) but it hurts and it sucks really bad! It is hard to really put into words.

I was able to eat bread (very little) and tortillas up until my 3rd fill. Now... There is no way!

  5. Girl.. I have a sensitive stomach, i had restrction after my first fill. I have had 4 fills, and the last one was MArch 1st. I am at my sweet spot. But thats me. Eveyone is so different! I think what really helped me is sticking to the 3oz of protein at lunch and dinner and only 1/2 cup of veggies. I really stuck to the "program" at first. What might help is jsut telling your mind, that the initial weight loss is the hardest. When you get closer to goal, you have way mroe freedom! I do. Just keep positive and try really hard to stick to the band rules. It gets easier later. =)

  6. hey.. whats up.. I just read some of your info... I see you live in PHX.. Are you banded yet?

  14. I am glad that you are doing well. Just wear elastic pants for a while until your tummy heals. Try eating creamy potato soups and chew the potato really good, gives you a sense that you actually ate something filling!

This is the hardest part. In a few short weeks, you will be able to eat some mushies, and that helps so much.

I have some good recipes for you once your ready for the regular food phase.
