  1. love the pics. It really gives me some insight of who you are. I love it.. You have a lovely family.. Loving the 80's photo of you and your wifey! I wore my hair the same way as her back then. HAHAHAHHA! Thanks for sharing.

You will NOT regret getting this surgery.. I have lost more weight i can feel it. I never weigh myself until the weekend, it's this weird thing I have. LOL But i can feel this weight starting to melt off. And i did my measurements yesterday.. I have lost 1.5 inches on my arms, waist, hips, thighs!

You WILL get back to where you where before!

  2. Make sure you have some Gas-X Strips on hand for the "trapped gas" Take like 3 to 4 of those, otherwise they dont work. Try and get up and walk as much as possible, it really helps get things moving. LOL

Dont try and lay down flat when you get home, prop your self up in a recliner or on the couch, with pillows.

Get some Papaya Enzymes, for when you start reg. food. They help when you get stuck.

Take before photos (front, back, side) and have someone help with your measurments, so you keep track of your progress.

  3. My family thinks I am nuts too, I love my fur babies.

I am doing good, I had my surgery on 9-23-09, Girl this is the best thing I have ever done for myself.

What part of AZ do you live in?

How are you doing so far after surgery? Do you have any questions, or concerns I can help you get through? Lemme know. :-)

  4. My pain after the surgery wasn't bad really...What sucked was the pain from the "trapped gas" That lasted about 10days or so. It happens becasue they blow your stomach up before surgery so they can see for the surgery. The gas eventually works its way out.. (ha ha) You just have to get up and walk, and take gas-x strips.

I went back to work 1 week later, and yes I worked during the Liquid phase, but it wasnt hard, because I was eating creamy soups, jello, pudding, popsicles. Its not like your stuck with broth. :-)

    Hope this helps!

  5. Nov 10th is right around the corner. How have you been feeling? Are you anxious...excited...nervous..all of the above?

I felt all of those feelings. But today I feel it is the best thing I have done. I go for my first fill on Monday, I will let you know how that goes. Everyone keeps saying that is when the "real weight loss starts happening.??" We will see. I am almost as nervous/excited for the fill as I was the days before my surgery.

Hit me up if you wanna talk.

  6. OK I JUST TOOK A PIC OF MY BOOTIE! lol check it out!

I dont know how to do anything on here anymore. the website has changed, and i rarely get on, i think i did it right?

  7. PAPAYA ENZYMES..Walmart by the vitamins, they are for digestive health. It helps in the breaking down of food. They seem to help.

Feeling stuck SUCKS! It feels like your esophugus just closes up, but with food lodged in there, sometimes it wont come up or go down for quit a while! Eventullay it does come (up or down) but it hurts and it sucks really bad! It is hard to really put into words.

I was able to eat bread (very little) and tortillas up until my 3rd fill. Now... There is no way!

  8. Sounds like your on the right track. I sincerely, wish you the best of luck on your weight loss journey.

    Hit me up girl anytime!

  9. Thank you for sharing the photos. Wish that would have been an option for me. Did your doc, ask if you wanted photos? How did you make that happen?

I would have loved to have those photos during my surgery, to help explain the process. Great visuals.

  10. You are so right! A positive attitude will carry you through this journey. Thanks for your kind words.

Don't cut your hair girl! LOL

  11. 800 mg Ibuprofins????? Oooooooh be careful! I promise at some point, once you hit restriction...There will be no way! clogged, stuck, water, pill... that will come up..excorsist style! LMAO

  12. AHHHH.. You put your pic up! I also noticed we are really close in age. I was born I am going to put some pics up this week.

  13. Band life is AMAZING! i have never felt better. I am loving life, feeling great! We should hang out sometime. You live in Tempe right?

  14. Been reading some of your replies.. You crack me up. I especially like your avatar.

  15. Checking In Wayno! Wondering how your surgery went? Hope you are okay.

  16. Did you take more than one of the Gas-x strips? I made that mistake after surgery.. You NEED to take at least 3 or 4 of them in order for them to work.

  17. feeling thin & pretty today!

  18. Girl.. I have a sensitive stomach, i had restrction after my first fill. I have had 4 fills, and the last one was MArch 1st. I am at my sweet spot. But thats me. Eveyone is so different! I think what really helped me is sticking to the 3oz of protein at lunch and dinner and only 1/2 cup of veggies. I really stuck to the "program" at first. What might help is jsut telling your mind, that the initial weight loss is the hardest. When you get closer to goal, you have way mroe freedom! I do. Just keep positive and try really hard to stick to the band rules. It gets easier later. =)

  19. Good luck tmrw. :-)
